"nah nigga you funny as hell for that." the boy said to his classmate that just pulled a prank on the teacher.

It was the beginning of the school year and everything was falling back into place for Jamari. After his parents passed away last year, his life shifted completely, there death was unexpected and it hit him like a ton of bricks.

Now he's in 12th grade and trying to get his life back in order and it started with school, he knew he wanted a bright future and he was going to work hard for it.

"ole well the teacher is a bitch anyway." the classmate said as he walked back to his seat after locking the teacher out the classroom. The class started laughing as they heard the door jingling and the trencher grunting to open the door.

"class!!? Class why is the door locked open it." Mrs. Simmons started knocking and yelling through the door.

"I said open the door now or I will get principle Mackin." Mrs. Simmons spoke then she stormed off and walked to the principal office.

"y'all this ain't funny open the door. If she get the principle we all gonna be in trouble." Amani, one of young girls said and Jamari nodded in agreement.

The whole class grunted in annoyance at the prissy girl who was a goody two shoes. Jamari just snickered at the girl who rolled her eyes then the class stayed silent.

After a few seconds you could hear keys jingling and then suddenly the door flung open. "This is extremely unacceptable! What type of foolishness is this, you guys are seniors and we have had an enough of this shit. This class has after school  detention for the next week" principal Mackins spoke.

The class stayed quite, surprised he let a curse word slip out, you can tell he was extremely frustrated from the past week of school, students have been doing all types of nonsense and he was over it.

Mrs. Simmons huffed , walked over to her desk and pulled out medium size packets from the top drawer on her desk. She walked around the classroom silently with her heels click clacking on the floor and she passed the packets around.

"But but Mrs. Simmons it wasn't me. You can't punish the whole class." Amani spoke again while raising her hand.

"Well do you want to tell me who did it?" The teacher spoke looking around the class for an answer. Jamari wanted to speak up because he really didn't feel like being in detention for some shit he didn't do but he wasn't no snitch.

Amari just put her head down and twiddled with the fingers while the class continued to stay silent.

" that's what I though. I don't want to hear anyone's voice for the remainder of class, work on this packet and when the bell rings you are free to go." She spoke in aggravation as she made her way back to her desk to sit down and type things on her computer.

Jamari shook his head, aggravated because he didn't have time for after school detention he had to go to work and couldn't afford to miss out on any hours.

After detention, Jamari ran straight to his car, he grabbed the key fob from his front pocket, unlocked the door as soon as his hand touched the door handle, setting the keys in the cup holder next to him and placed his foot on the brake starting his car, putting it in drive and headed straight to work. His boss was an asshole and didn't care about the reason someone was late to there shift so he sped off in a hurry.
