Today was Monday morning and Sevyn was finally going to meet up with Joshua. They were initially supposed to meet up a few weeks ago but Joshua had to take a break from work due to his wife having a baby.

Sevyn and Jamari respected that, understand he had a life outside of what he does for a living, so they had to wait.

Sevyn has been doing nothing but going to work then going to see Jamari while time passed and she didn't mind it at all. The two were going really growing fond of each other.

After Secyn got up and got dressed for the day she decided to run some errand's before meeting with Joshua. She needed to buy a few things for her house and also get Jamari a birthday present because his birthday was coming up in a few weeks.

She wasn't sure what to get the man that always had her back and was in jail but she knows she would eventually figure out something.

Sevyn headed to the grocery store, wanting to make the trip fast because she already wrote out a list. After maneuvering through isle to isle she was finally able to get everything she needed and proceeded to the check out line.

Sevyn placed all of the grocery's and house hold items onto the belt and the cashier began to ring up the items.

"Your total will be 214.23" Sevyn nodded her head and tapped her card onto the pin pad and the receipt printed out immediately.

"Have a nice day." Sevyn spoke to the cashier and she responded back with a you too. The woman walked to her car and put all of the grocery's into her trunk.

Sevyn finished up putting the grocery's in the car and walked back to the front of the store to put the cart back. As the woman was walking, an all black car stopped in front of her and rolled the front and back window door with guys staring at her.

They held up guns pointing at her and she froze not knowing what to do. All of the men in the car had on ski mask and gloves and she just knew right then and there that her life was over.

Sevyn couldn't move, it's like her feet were glued to the ground and regardless of what she was going to do in the moment they had the upper hand.

The guy in the front seat lifted up his sky mask to where you can only see his lips and he smiled at her then pulled his mask down and winked. The car drove off leaving screech marks on the parking lot.

Sevyn left the cart right in the middle of the parking lot and ran back to her car getting in and locking the door. Her heart was racing and felt like it was going to burst through her shirt.

The woman picked up her phone immediately and called Joshua, not knowing who else to call in the moment.

"Hi Sevyn. I'm making my way now."

"Josh.. Josh this has to end now. These guys they— where are you?" Sevyn said but Joshua cut her off sensing the strain and hyperventilation in her voice.

"I'm at the Walmart in the west end." She spoke as she was able to calm herself down.

"Okay just meet me at my office instead I'm here already." Sevyn responded to let him know she was on the way then they hung up.

Sevyn drove straight to his office and parked her car in the back alley way.  She got out and walked to the front of the building, looking over her shoulder every few seconds. She opened the door and looked for his name on the board that was next to the door.

She walked towards the elevator and waited for it to open before stepping on. The doors closed and she pressed the number 5 button and waited for the elevator to stop at the 5th floor.

Once it stopped she stepped off and walked in the door to the right, seeing Joshua talking to someone.

"Great your here. Let's step into my office." Joshua spoke and Sevyn nodded her head following behind the man.

They walked a little further into the huge office space and stopped at the dark gray door and walked inside. He closed the door and took a seat at his desk while a Sevyn took a seat in the chair in front of his desk.

"So let's get straight to business. Explain what happened today." Sevyn huffed as her leg bounced up and down since she was so nervous.

She replayed the event in her head over and over and over again she just couldn't believe that her life was in danger.

After taking a deep breath she told Joshua what had happened right before she got there.

"And you have no clue who this could be Sevyn? It might all be linked to whoever actually killed Nori." Joshua spoke as he typed a few things on his coworker.

"It might be Trix, he —why do you think that?" She started the speak but Joshua cut her off, immediately becoming intrigued because Trix's name has been popping up a lot lately.

Before the woman decided to speak again she took her purse off her shoulder and pulled out her phone. She unlocked it going to her camera roll then clicked on the video she had been keeping from them.

She slid her phone over to Joshua, he had a perplexed look on his face but he clicked play and watched the video.

"Bitch I'll kill you if you tell anybody what happened to Nori. I know you know." He heard Trix say once the video started to play.

Joshua ended the video not wanting to hear anymore. He picked up his phone and started dialing a number. The phone rang 3 times in the other line and immediately connected once the person picked up.

"Hi Judge. Sorry to bother you at this time of day. But I would like to request a retrial date for next week. I have new evidence to prove my clients innocence."

Sevyn watched as Joshua handled his job and took it very seriously. He really was doing all he could to get Jamari out of jail.

Once he finished up the phone call he hung up and placed his phone on his desk and focused his attention back on Sevyn.

"We have a retrial next Monday. Thank you so much Sevyn. I also informed the judge to have you placed into protective custody until the trial was over." Joshua spoke as she typed more information on his computer while making eye contact with the woman.

"Thank you Joshua i would feel so much better knowing I'm protected."

"No, thank you. You just helped me win this case.
I'm getting in contact with the security department for the courts and they will meet you at your house in 30 minutes. So you need to head home and pack a few things. Hopefully you're not away for too long. I'll also inform Jamari about what is going on." The man spoke as she picked up his phone answering another phone call.

Sevyn felt relieved, she was happy she didn't have to no longer walk on egg shells in her own town. She still wanted to keep her guard up because you never know what could happen.

Joshua and Sevyn spoke for another 10 minutes then she left his office heading back outside to go to her car.

She got off the elevator and opened the front door to the building looking both ways before stepping out fully and walking to the back of the alley way.

Sevyn took her key fob from her front pocket unlocking her car door as she got closer to her car. Once she approached her car she placed her hand on the door handle and began to unlock the door.

*boom* *boom* *boom*
