Becky's PoV
Woo, that incident in the park! I can't believe they didn't get a room to do it. There is no peace anywhere. I sighed and suddenly felt weird about Freen's behavior.
Her touches weren't like those of a friend anymore. Was she... no, this can't be. I don't want to lose her because of this. Not again. I finally made up my mind and after thinking about it a thousand times, I said, "Freen, do you have feelings for me? Like, more than a friend?"
She quickly shook her head. I sighed with relief. "Thank God."
"Why? What happened?" she asked, curious.
"Nothing. I just don't want to lose you," I said, sincerity shining in my eyes.
"If you ever feel those things, don't hide it from me, okay?" I added.
Yeah, I don't want her to hide her feelings from me. I know I can never return them, but she can't keep it in and act all normal. I can see how she blushes when I flirt with her. Was she really...
But she didn't say anything, so maybe I'm just overthinking. Fine!
I said, "Let's go back home."
She said, "Let me ride the scooter."
She looked at me with hope and I just nodded. She took the keys and started the ride. I sat back, a bit scared of her riding skills. But actually, she was good at it.
We talked a lot for the remaining evening. We went out to a supermarket to buy some stuff for home. I was carrying the bag, but she insisted that she would carry it. I felt weird; I've been carrying them for years, so what's with this sudden change?
I quickly took the bag from her and said, "No, I'll carry it. Actually, I feel weird making you carry those."
She just nodded and smiled. No, actually, she blushed. What was that? I didn't even flirt.
We went home and I started cooking dinner. She said she didn't want to have anything for dinner as she was full, but I insisted she eat something light. My little brother ran to her as she gave him chocolates. He smiled like a creep and said, "Thank you."
She smiled at him sweetly. As much as I know her, she loves children, so she started to play with my brother and watch cartoons. I watch them too! My favorite one is Shinchan, the single hero.
But Freen thinks that Doraemon is better than savage Shinchan. Wow, I mean she just called my little single Shinchan savage. We had a big argument about that earlier in college.
But she finally said that I was Shinchan who always does naughty stuff and I smiled because, of course, I do.
After cooking, I took two plates and went to my room. We sat and had food. She looked at me and smiled. What's there to smile about? God!
I said, "Would you like to watch a movie after this?"
She nodded like a kid and I said, "Which movie?"
She said, "Gap the series!"
She smirked. God, if my mom sees this, she'll kill me for sure. I said, "Shh, not that. I asked for a movie!"
She said again, "Any lesbian movie is fine."
She winked. This brat! I said, "Not that either."
She said, "Then why did you ask?" She pouted.
I said, "Fine, any normal movie you want to watch?"
She sighed and said, "Fine, how about a horror show?"
I nodded, "Okay, let me get my laptop."
She nodded and sat there with a heavy head. Maybe she's tired. Her eyes looked very tired, yet she insisted on watching it.
As I turned on the laptop and we started to watch, my mom entered the room. I felt nervous. She said, "Hi, your name?"
Freen said, "Hello, Aunty, I'm Freen. Becky's college friend."
Mom said, "Oh, okay. Where do you stay?"
Freen told her about herself. My mom even asked every detail of her family and I just sat there nervously as they both spoke. It was very new to me, but it was fine. At least it wasn't as bad as I expected it to be.
She left and I sighed. I looked at Freen who just smiled at me. We continued watching the show until Freen said, "Beck, I'm so tired! Let's go to sleep."
I nodded and closed the laptop. Cleared the bed and got into the bed. She laid on the wall side; maybe she was afraid she would fall off. I hugged her hand and she just let me hug her. But soon she turned and hugged my belly. I let her hug me and finally I drifted off to sleep!
