"Wait!" Rudra's commanding voice echoed through the courtyard.

The guards marching towards Maya halted immediately, stepping aside as he approached.

Maya's heart sank. She had been so close to escaping.

Rudra's eyes were filled with a mix of anger and disbelief.

He signaled the guards, to give them privacy. The guards left the courtyard premiers on command

Rudra turned back to Maya, "I told you to stay inside the chamber," his voice low and controlled. "Why did you disobey me?"

"I need to find Arjun," Maya replied, trying to keep her voice steady. "He's out there somewhere, and I can't just sit and wait for you orders Maharaj." Maya finally exploded

Rudra's expression darkened. "Your recklessness could have cost you your life! You think you can just waltz out of here and everything will be fine?"

"I can't just sit here doing nothing!" Maya shot back. "Arjun is my friend, and he needs me. How can you expect me to stay locked up while he's in danger?"

"You have no idea what's at stake here," Rudra growled, stepping closer. "You are in my kingdom; you are my responsibility. Your actions could jeopardize everything, even you life!"

"Then what about my responsibility towards my friend?" Maya yelled, her frustration boiling over. "Do you expect me to just abandon him?"

Rudra's eyes flashed with fury. "I had Enough! You're coming with me."

Before Maya could protest, Rudra swept her up into his arms, throwing her over his shoulder.

Taking her by surprise.

"Put me down!" she demanded struggling, but his grip was strong around her legs as he carried her back through the gardens and into the palace.

Him ignoring her words igniting her further, her fists pounding against his back did nothing but increased his pace.

"Stop with the struggle" his voice was cold.

"Then put me down"

"Not until you understand the gravity of your actions," Rudra retorted, his voice steely.

He carried her all the way to his chamber and set her down gently but firmly on the ground.

Maya glared daggers at him, still fuming with anger.

"Sit," he ordered, pointing to a chair where a tray of food awaited. "Have your food"

"I'm not hungry," Maya snapped, crossing her arms defiantly.

"You will eat," Rudra insisted, his tone leaving no room for argument. "You need your strength, for fighting with me."

She refused to move.
