Rudra tossed and turned in his luxurious bed, the moonlight streaming through the window casting shadows on the walls of his chamber.

His face, usually a mask of calm authority, was grimaced in grief as he descended into the depths of a nightmare.

In the dream, he was in a sunlit meadow, the scent of wildflowers heavy in the air.

A girl with sparkling eyes and a mischievous smile laughed beside him.

Her laughter was infectious, and Rudra found himself grinning, feeling a sense of joy he hadn't felt in years.

They rode a horse together, her sitting side legged with her arms wrapped around his waist as they galloped through the fields.

"Rudra, you're going too fast!" she exclaimed, her laughter ringing like a melody.

He bent his head slightly, catching a glimpse of her radiant face. "You always say that, but I know you love the speed," he teased.

Soon they dismounted by a beautiful lake, Rudra helping her down by pulling her in a bridal style, wrapping his arms around her, settling her down by the lake.

He pulled out a small package from his satchel.

"Close your eyes," he instructed.

She obeyed, a playful smile gracing her lips.

He gently lifted her foot gently and slipped a delicate payal around her ankle.

"You can open them now." he said softly. She opened her eyes, looking down with delight.

"Oh, Rudra, it's beautiful!" she exclaimed, her eyes shining with affection. The tiny bells on the anklets rang every time she moved her legs creating a sweet melody.

"Not beautiful as you" he teased

"Shut up!" she blushed furiously

They spent the afternoon together, sharing food and stories.

He fed her morsels of fruit, and she playfully swatted his hand away, insisting she could eat on her own.

But gave up in the end, feeling his lingering touch on her lips every time.

Their strong bond was evident in every interaction and every secretly shared glances.

But suddenly, the dream shifted.

The sunlit meadow, the beautiful lake was replaced by the court room, the air thick with the scent of blood.

Rudra found himself kneeling in the pool of blood, cradling the girl in his arms.
Her body was limp, her breath shallow. The blood was soaking through her clothes, creating a mess of her perfectly white saree.

"No, no, no!" Rudra's voice broke, filled with desperation. "Stay with me! You can't leave me!" He urgently patted her pale face, trying to keep her eyes open.
