~After recovery~
Bakugo's POV
After a couple more days, Todoroki finally recovered enough to go home with me. Aizawa dropped us off at my house to settle down before taking him back to his home once his dad comes back. He entered the house first, and looked around in awe, as if he's never seen something so clean and organized before.
He took one look at the sofa and immediately rushed to sit on it, looking like he could stay there forever and never get up.
"It's that comfortable, huh?" I took a seat right next to him, a little closer than I would usually prefer. He didn't seem to like it too much, because he shifted a little bit away from me, increasing the distance between us on the sofa. Since we were going to be official, I had to learn how to be patient with him, and he needs to learn how to trust me. I promised myself that I would never forgive myself if anything bad happened to him.
"Todoroki." I said calmly. "You can trust me, I won't hurt you." He still looked a little hesitant, but slowly closed the distance between us, placing his hand on top of mine. I gladly took his hand and held it softly but close to my embrace. It looked like I was gaining his trust, because he placed his head on my shoulder. I smiled and wrapped my arm around his shoulders as I turned on the TV to put on a funny show to watch, to lighten up the tense mood he was still radiating on me. After a while, he looked a lot more happier than before, and even started to chuckle a little bit at the jokes from the show. I couldn't help but laugh with him, making it a fun moment between the two of us. Then laughter suddenly turned to silence, as I glanced at his face to see his eyes glaring back at me, looking like he wanted something from me.
"Is something that you want, Todoroki-" He interrupted me by softly placing his lips on mine. It came of nowhere, so I was shocked for a second, but slowly closed my eyes as I kissed him back. The light feeling I get in my heart was there again, and I couldn't think of anyone but him. The pacing was getting faster, as I felt myself slowly losing control, going deeper into his mouth with my tongue. Out of nowhere, he pulled away and looked at me with sad eyes. I could tell by his look that he doesn't think that this is 100% sure if this was the right thing.
"Bakugo.."
"It's Katsuki now."
"Okay..Katsuki.." He continued. "If my dad ever found about this, do you think he'll be okay with it?"
I held both of Torodoki's hands gently. "He better, or I'll make him." Hearing my response, he chuckled awkwardly, still looking nervous about this whole thing. I sighed and pulled him into a hug "You don't have to worry about him anymore, I'll protect you from his attacks, and get him arrested as soon as possible, so you can stay with me!" I said enthusiastically .That eased him up and he hugged me back with a smile, while crying tears of joy. We stayed like that for a while, before I broke the hug and checked the time on my watch: 6:30pm. "Uh oh, we better get going, it's already evening."
We both got up from the sofa and walked out to the front yard, only to not see Aizawa's car there. "Guess we have to walk there." He nodded and we started to walk, holding hand-to-hand. During the walk, we talked about the future plans we can have while being with each other. Before we knew it, we reached his house. His father was reading a newspaper on the front porch, while probably meant he didn't see us walk hand-to-hand. We waved our goodbyes, and went on our way into our own homes.
Todoroki's POV
My dad was sitting at the front porch while reading a newspaper, which was surprising because I thought he wouldn't return until late in the night. I decided to ignore him and walked into my house, which felt and sounded eerily quiet. I sat down on the sofa, and was about to turn on the TV, when I heard a loud bang behind me. I got startled and stood up in fear and turned around, only to see my Dad walking up to me furiously, his stomps getting louder by the second. I've never seen him this angry at me before.
"SHOTO! WHO WAS THAT YOU WERE HOLDING HANDS WITH JUST NOW?!" He roared furiously at my face. I could feel my hands shaking badly, and my legs about to give up to me.
"I-It was just a friend of mine, Bakugo, the one who you compared me with in school." I mumbled while trying hard to hold back my tears and stopping myself from having a meltdown. His expression calmed down for a second, but then looked at me even angrier.
"I know that's Bakugo, but being in a relationship with a BOY is UNACCEPTABLE! I WILL NOT TOLERATE A SON WHO IS BOTH WEAK AND GAY!" His voice was reaching to a level that angered me so deeply inside that I couldn't just take it anymore.
"WELL, WHY CAN'T YOU?!" I gasped and covered my mouth. I've never talked to my father in such a tone. I was always too scared to. He looked so mad that he walked out of room, as if to get something. Seconds later, he came with a massive vase. Before I could even blink, he threw it straight at my direction. I didn't react in time, and it shattered on my body, leaving small wounds and scratches on my skin. My whole body was covered in glass and pain, as I tried to crawl out of the living room, but he stopped me by kicking me in the stomach. I gagged out blood, and fell to the floor, clutching my stomach. I've never felt so much pain in my life, and I just wanted all of this to be over. All this suffering and the damage it does to me, I'm sick of it. He seemed to have finished his business, and left to go to his room. I could only do so much as to lie down there and deal with the pain before it vanishes, but my stomach wound was making me lose blood, and I was starting to feel very dizzy. I was about to pass out, when I heard a loud bang on the door, and then the sound of the door busted open. I didn't have enough strength to look up and see who it was, but I felt a strong pair of arms wrap around me and place me on someone's legs. It was Bakugo. He probably heard all of the noise, and tried to reach out to me, but I was out of reach.
"Todoroki, can you hear me?" He mumbled close to my ear.
"I-It's Shoto, Katsuki." I gave him a warm smile, and let him continue what he was saying.
"Aizawa and the police are on their way here. I was about to walk away, but I heard some yelling, and then something shattered. The window was slightly open, so I peeked inside, and saw what your father was doing to you....I knew he wouldn't be happy, but not THAT unhappy with our decision. I recorded everything, and sent it to Aizawa, who alerted the police." He held my weak body closer to him and placed my weak hand on his chest. I could feel his heartbeat, which made me relax a lot more.
"Now we can be together, with no one going to harm you now. I will make sure of that." He whispered in my ear. I can finally relax, knowing that I won't have to suffer because of my Dad.
I was finally...free.
