46. Reunion

Theo's POV

A few days later, I'm parked around the corner from Matt's house. Which also means I'm close to Sav and Adam, a war would start if they knew I was here.

I spot Matt making his way to my car with a big smile on his face. As I step out, he starts chanting my name loud enough so the whole street can hear him. "Theeeeo! Theeeeo! Theeeooooo!" Like there has never been anything bad between us.

I burst into laughter while shaking my head. "You're fucking crazy, you know that?" We share a big hug.

"I'm fucking crazy? Where have you been, man?" 

"Get in the car. I'll tell you all about it."

As he walks over to the passenger side, he nods at me in admiration. "You're so fucking hench now, bro."

"That's because I've been living in the gym." I joke as I open the driver's side door.

"It's worth it though, you look good." He sits in while I settle in the driver's seat. 

"Thanks, man, I appreciate it."

Matt shifts in his seat and turns a bit serious. "Listen, uh, before you start, I've got to tell you something."

I wait for him to continue. 

"I, uh, I set your car on fire with Sav. I'm fucking sorry, man."

I keep my stare held on him. "Which car?"

"The last one you brought in, the one you wouldn't let us touch."

I relax, easing the tension. "Oh, that's alright. That was for Sav."

"What do you mean?" Matt asks as a smile begins to form on his face.

"It was going to be a wedding present." I can't help but laugh. How times have changed.

Matt joins me in laughter. "Nah, you're lying."

"I swear. I was going to customise it. That's why I bought it early."

"That's too funny. She's going to go fucking crazy when I tell her." He says as he starts to get ideas in his head.

"Don't tell her, there's no point."

He pauses, looking confused for a second before he wipes the look off his face. "But on a real, I'm sorry. I thought you were in the wrong, not that bitch."

"Don't blame yourself. I made it out that way deliberately."

"But why? I don't get why?"

"I knew if I exposed Sav, it would mess up Adam and Rosanna, and I'd rather leave than let that happen." I still stand by that, even though Adam tried to get me killed a few months ago.

"They split up."

"Who? Adam and Rosanna?"

"Yeah. Because of all of this. Truthfully, Adam was the only one who didn't see you as the bad guy. He knew there was more to why you left. That's why he let you get your things. Rosanna hated that he did it behind her back, and Sav tried to kill herself because of it, so that was the final straw for Rosanna, and she ended things."

I widen my eyes in shock. "Fuck me." That's so much to take in at once. 

"Yeah, it was a bad fucking time."

"Did that all happen the day I came over?"

"Bro, on that day, so much shit happened. Sav tried to kill herself, Rosanna split up with Adam, I set the car on fire with Sav, and then me and Adam had a big fucking fight."
