Theo's POV

My flight is in a few hours, so I meet Emilia and Dom in the lobby as we'll be travelling to the airport together.

As soon as Dom sees me, he immediately grasps my hand and pulls me into a half hug. "Hi, bro. My bad for how I was acting last night. I was so out of it, but I want you to know I have no problem with you. Can we put it behind us?"

"Yeah, don't mention it. It's all good with me, man." I play along. I wonder why the change in mood. Is he happy because he had his last round with Sav, or is he trying to make things right now that I'm going to be living with him? Regardless, I need to start acting like I'm best mates with this snake. Time to build up the trust.

"You good, Emilia?" I ask her. I haven't forgotten about how he treated her last night, either.

She nods with a big smile on her face. "Yeah, really good." I guess he has made up with her, too.

When we arrive in Germany, and I power on my phone, a crazy amount of messages flood through. I blocked everything of Sav's because I can't be bothered with her bullshit. However, I muted everyone else's notifications because I still want to see what they're saying.

Rosanna sent the most messages, filling my screen with lengthy paragraphs defending Sav. I can't blame her.

Then there's Matt, whose messages are full of insults. I don't take it personally. I understand where he's coming from.

Finally, there's Adam. He sent the least, actually just three: 'Where are you?' 'I know you bro, you're not like this.' 'Why?' It hits me hard reading it. I wish things were different.

As we pull up to Dom's house, which is bigger than I expected, his family is outside, ready to greet us with open arms and bright smiles. However, I can't help but scan the area for my dad, who is nowhere to be seen.

After everyone welcomes Dom and Emilia, Dom turns to introduce me. "Mom, Dad, this is Theo, Em's older brother."

"Ah, you're Emilia's brother? I thought you looked familiar. How wonderful to see you!" His mom's says with a face full of joy as she pulls me into a warm hug. I instantly notice she doesn't have a German accent.

Once she releases me, his dad pulls me into a hug. "Welcome, son. It's been a very long time since I last saw you."

I blink in surprise as I pull away. "We met?"

"Yeah, you would've been around... three years old, yeah." He recalls with a warm smile spreading across his face. I forgot he was friends with my dad. What a full-circle moment.

"Wow, well, it's nice to see you again, sir."

"Sir? Call me uncle." He insists with friendly eyes. Dom's parents seem like nice, genuine people.

I don't know what happened to him, though. He must've been dropped as a baby.

Dom grasps my shoulder. "If you couldn't guess already, I'm half-German. Come, meet the others." He directs me to a couple with a baby. "That's my older sister, Heidi, my brother-in-law, Lars, and their baby, Henry." I speak to them for a bit. They're decent people and seem like a happy family.

Dom then leads me to a girl who stands tall for a girl yet is still shorter than him and me. "This is my sister Lorena." I didn't know he had a sister. I'm going to love using her to play mind games on him.

She gives me a soft smile. "Hey. Nice to meet you." I take more notice of her now. She has long brown hair and light green eyes, just like Dom's. She must be a model, too, no doubt. But I find her ugly. She looks too much like him.
