Naeun tapped her foot on the floor of Juri's bedroom, her arm crossed over her chest as she stared at the girl sitting in front of her. It had been an hour since Jisung left with Chenle and Juri was simply rolling around on her bed, giggling and full of energy.
"Well are you going to tell me what happened or what?" Naeun said, watching as the girl squealed into her plushie and kicked her feet.
"He likes me back~" Juri sang, giggling non stop.
"Yeah, I could tell that much," Naeun scoffed. "Give me the deets, girl!"
"Okay, okay!" Juri chuckled before sitting up. "So, so, you just left with Jisung and I was like, sitting on the couch watching a movie right? And then all of a sudden he texted me saying he was coming over!"
"Oh, don't tell me he saw the mess that is our dorm -or even worse- you looking like a deceased rat watching zombie movies half naked."
"No no, I managed to clean up in time," Juri assured. "Continuing, we just cooked and played around for a bit. And then when we were eating, he suddenly said he needed to tell me something."
"Okay, go on, go on," Naeun nodded, more invested in her best friend's love story than any romance drama she's watched.
"He confessed and then we had like a heartfelt moment and I was a blushing mess and he said some really cheesy things that made me even more flustered," Juri explained, rolling over and squealing into her pillow. "And then we cuddled and fell asleep."
Naeun laughed, patting her best friend on the butt. "Okay girl! I'm so happy for you!"
"Now all that's left is for you to go secure your man. We can even go on cute double dates."
"I'm out of here," Naeun immediately stood up and was out of the door.
She had enough thoughts about Jisung today.
. . .
Naeun lethargically stepped up the entrance stairs, already dreading the day ahead. They had a big exam today and the girl didn't feel prepared enough, even though she'd been studying non-stop for weeks.
She recalled all of the information she'd been reading up on as she walked, not even looking where she was going. It was only when a hand on her wrist stopped her from bumping into a pole when she noticed her surroundings.
"Careful! You were about to hit a pole!" The boy chuckled, releasing Naeun's wrist.
"Thanks, Daehan," Naeun smiled. "I'm just so nervous about exams today."
"I'm nervous too," he sighed. "I pulled an all nighter last night and just crammed everything in."
"Let's just hope we'll do well," she anxiously laughed.
The two walked to their first class together and sat down in their seats. Daehan glanced over at the girl, an evil smile spreading across his face before he turned back to his materials.
. . .
"I'M GOING TO KILL MYSELF!" Naeun and Chenle yelled in unison as they exited through the gate. The exam was stressful for both of them, and they were more than glad it was finally over.
"I wanna go home and cuddle Juri to sleep," Chenle whined, stretching his sore muscles.
"You guys are so cheesy," Naeun fake gagged. "Have some respect for the singles."
"You're single by choice, girl," he scoffed. "You have a hunk of a man head over heels for you and you're here acting stupid," he clicked his tongue, shaking his head.
Naeun let out an annoyed sigh, not wanting to think about Jisung more than she had to. "Yeah yeah, whatever. I'm going to go to the bus stop."
"Just let Jisung drop you off," Chenle said, looking at the matte black sports car that was approaching.
"No thanks!" And then she ran as fast as she could.
By the time she reached the bus stop, the girl was out of breath. She luckily was able to catch the first bus and go to the dorms quickly. She managed to get a glimpse of Jisung's face as he got out of his car and the girl was already swooning over how effortlessly handsome he was.
A smile subconsciously formed on her face, but she quickly slapped it off after realizing.
She could not fall for him.
