Chapter-5 (Marriage proposal)

Aadarsh POV

It's Tuesday 5:30 in the evening, and I'm wrapping up my work. Usually I go home at 8-9 in the night sometimes late too depending on the work. But today my mother said me to come home early and I have no idea what's the reason. From the time we came back from the mall my elders are behaving weirdly. They talk no no wishpper to eachother which can't be heard by the third person also. I asked Roshan what's going on but he said he don't have any idea. But I don't believe this guy because he has every gossip of the whole world and i don't believe that he doesn't know what's happening in our own house. Anyway I have a strong feeling that today I'll get to know the reason about my family's strange behaviour from past two days.

It's 6 pm now, I'm driving my car back to home back with Roshan sitting beside me in the passenger seat. One last time I'll ask him.

"Roshan"
"Ha Bhai"  he said turning towards me.
(Yes brother)

"Ghar mai kya chal raha hai. Aur juth math bol mujhe pata hai ki tujhe sabh pata hai"  I said giving him a death glare from the corner of my eyes.
(What's going on in home?? I knew that you already know about what's happening, so don't you dare lie)

"Ghar Mai kya chal raha hai mujhe kese pata hoga bhai, mai tho pura din aapke saath hi kaam kartha hu". He said looking outside the window.
(How will I know what's happening in home, I'm working whole day with you)

"Natak bandh kar aur sach bata Varna yahi sadak par chodke chala jaunga"  I threatened him.
(Stop your drama and tell me the truth or else I'll go back home leaving you here only in the middle of the way)

"Acha tike. Par mai nahi bata saktha Varna Sabh mujhe maar dalenge. Vaise bhi aapko Aaj pata chal hi jayega tho please mujhe yaha math chodiye Mera phone bhi dead hogaya"  he said dramatically.
(Okay fine. But I can't tell you or else everyone will kill me. Anyway you will get to know that today, so please don't leave here, my phone is already dead)

"Tikh hai"  I said rolling my eyes on his dramatic way.
(Okay)

Drama queen🙄🙄. Ajay bhi itna drama nahi karta.
(Drama queen🙄🙄. Ajay also won't do this much drama)

We reached home in 30 minutes. All the family members are seating on sofa and talking about something seriously. But as soon as I entered they stopped talking as a teacher entered into the class 🙄🙄.

"Aagai tum dono, jao jaldhi fresh hoke aajao"  said Ma.
(You both are back, go get fresh up and come fast)

I moved towards my room, got fresh up and wore my trousers and tshirt. As I descended the steps there was pin drop silence as were waiting for me.

"Aadarsh humne tumhare liye ladki dund liya hai"  Dadi said as soon as I sat down.
(Aadarsh we found a girl for you)

I was happy to hear that but somewhere I felt sad remembering the girl I saw in the mall. Yeah I didn't see her face but I felt a connection with her for sure. But who knows she might be already having a boyfriend or might be married 🙁🙁

"What happened beta? Tum kush nahi ho kya??". Chachi asked seeing my smile dropping down.
(What happened son? Aren't you happy?)

"Nahi nahi esa kuch nahi hai". I said smiling. I know my family selection and the girl they choose will be good . I won't say perfect because no one on the earth are perfect including me.

" We all saw her in the mall on Sunday. She is Neena's friend's niece. Her name is Aarushi. She is well mannered and we all liked her in one sight"  Ma said.

" Ruko Mai uska photo dikhathi hu". Chachi opened her phone to show the girl's face.
(Wait let me show her photo)

" Nahi chachi. Mai usko directly dekhunga. Photo Mai nahi". I denied to see her face.
(No aunty. I'll see her directly. I don't want to see in photo)

" Pakka?". Everyone shouted on top of their voice with surprise in their eyes.
(Are you sure?)

"Haan pakka baba ab shant ho jao sab log" I exclaimed.
(Yes sure, now calm down)

" We will be going day after tomorrow to meet them so don't keep any meeting on that day" my papa informed.

" Ji papa"
(Okay Dad)

After that we had our dinner with random talks and returned to our respective rooms.
