"Hey Dob, can we talk?”
“Sure, why do you want to talk, Pierre?”
“Let’s go eat, I’ll pay!”
“But I’m at the gym right now,”
“I’ll come and pick you up,”
Pierre said.
“Okay,”
Dob answered After finishing his workout, Dobyson quickly took a shower because he knew his best friend, Pierre, would be arriving soon to pick him up. Not long after, Dob’s phone rang. Pierre apologized.
“Sorry, I got stuck in traffic. Can we change our country?”
Dob laughed and said.
“Don’t worry, Pierre. I understand.”
“Great, let’s go!”
“So, where are you taking me for our dinner date tonight?”
Pierre joked back.
“Date your foot! Don’t mess around, or someone might get upset.”
Dob laughed.
“Oh, Pete will get our jokes.”
Pierre clarified
“I’m not talking about my partner, I mean your dear friend, PDen.”
At that moment, Dob realized something, Jace seemed very sensitive whenever Pierre was mentioned. He couldn’t understand it because he knew that even though Jace sometimes ignored him (ghosted), he never did that when it came to Pierre. This confused Dob even more because Jace knew that Pierre would never really hurt him, they were best friends. In fact, Jace and Pierre spent a lot of time together, yet Jace still felt a bit insecure when Pierre was involved.
Doby then asked
“Did you invite him to join us?”
Pierre replied,
“No, I only need you tonight.”
“Why is that?”
Doby asked.
“But if you want to tell him about our dinner, that’s fine.”
Pierre continued.
“I’ll let him know after he calls me later. For now, let’s go, I’m hungry. What do I feel like eating tonight?”
Pierre teased, “Now you’re excited, huh?”
Dob grinned,
“Of course, I’m excited because you’re treating me!”
Pierre laughed, “Okay then.”
Pierre and Dob went to an Omakase restaurant. They enjoyed their meal and took pictures of each other. At one point, Dob asked,
“What’s the big deal? Why did you choose this place?”
Pierre looked at his friend and said softly,
“I just really missed you, Dob.”
Dob sensed that there was something more on Pierre’s mind and said,
“Pierre, I know you have something you want to say. Please tell me.”
After fiddling with his spoon, Pierre confessed,
“I want to go back to studying.”
Dob was surprised.
“Really? That’s great news!”
