Chapter 8: Playmate! (2)

The view of the sun set outside looks very beautiful from the window of Light's room, but the owner of the room doesn't feel the same.

'That brat is so annoying! So what if I'm childish? I'm still a kid! He's also a kid so why is he acting as if he's older than me?!'

Frustrated by someone he brought into the palace himself, he grabbed a pillow and throw it at the poor wall.

The room was already in a messy state due to his childish tantrum earlier, but he doesn't even feel bother to clean it up.

He believed the servants outside would clean up his mess for him once he leave the room.

After a few more minutes of destroying his own room out of anger, Light finally lie down on the bed with a sigh.

The silence and loneliness is bothering him quite a bit.

He might had said he doesn't need anything like friends and wanted to play humans as his toy, but he is actually quite lonely inside.

Despite having a sister, he doesn't feel any sort of entertainment talking and playing with her.

She's too kind and loving for him.

He wanted something exciting and interesting to play with like the humans that are scared of them, but his father won't even allow him to step out of the palace without permission or supervision.

But, his wish for some companionship and interesting kind of fun was forgotten for a moment when he was with Adam earlier.

'Hmph, atleast he kept me quite busy and energetic earlier.'

Light turn to his right side and cross his arms, looking as if he's contemplating (sulking).

He's wondering if he should go check on how Adam is doing since it is still his first day in this palace.

'Haaah... I wish I can just teleport there, but father told me to walk on my own two feet when at home.'

Right, that's the least thing he could do for the Prince Consort because his father is worried that his son might get sick easily due to not exercising or training his body.

He rely on his powers too much to be honest.

Thump-

Lazy enough not to walk this time, Light roll his body to the side until he fall down to the floor, causing a light thumping sound.

A lazy groan came from him as his face is basically resting on the floor. Then he proceed to drag his own body toward the door with his hand.

Looking similar to the movement of a zombie with no legs crawling over to its victim.

He finally reach the door and knock on it, causing the servants outside to be startled.

Once of the servants open the door and was shocked to see their prince is lying on the floor like that. He's not dead though, he almost thought the kid did died-

"Y-your highness! What are-"

"Shut up and carry me to that brat."

"About that-"

A quiet yet cold voice speak up from behind the servant, interrupting the servant from speaking.

"I'm right here."

"Holy-"

Light's body jolted up in an instant as he was surprised.
Yes, he's genuinely surprised because of Adam's sudden appearance.
