After causing a big mess earlier in the garden, both Emerald and Light was called to come to the dining hall in the main palace.
Emerald and Light had obediently come without causing another scene, and unexpectedly, Adam came along.
Fortunately, the Prince Consort had prepared enough meals for him too.
The duke sat next to his daughter, looking troubled and somewhat anxious.
The Prince Consort sit at the end of the long table and his son sit next to him.
Adam, despite not being high in status, also sit on the other side of the Prince Consort.
The dining hall was silence despite having two troublesome kids with them.
Maybe it is due to the cold glare that Adam is giving to both Light and Emerald, as if still scolding them.
The Prince Consort just smile innocently, feigning ignorance to this. He's actually happy and somewhat proud that he had chosen the correct child that can make his son stay in control.
Emerald awkwardly smile while sitting still in her seat, not even saying anything nor explain about what happened to her confused father.
No one speaks even a word despite almost 5 minutes had gone by...
Finally, Atlas finally open his mouth.
"Please relax and enjoy the lunch prepared by our cooks. They've worked hard in making these for us."
"Ah right, t-thank you for inviting us to have lunch with you Your Majesty."
"Duke, please relax..."
Despite the Prince Consort trying to calm the tense atmosphere, the Duke can't help but feel nervous and also tense.
His daughter had a fight with the crown prince earlier in the garden.
When they arrived there, what they saw was that Light and Emerald looks like they're being scolded by Adam.
Even though his daughter had caused something that can make their household crumble into dust in any second, he didn't get angry at his daughter.
Actually, he's more relief than angry at her.
'It's a good thing the crown prince didn't kill her or decide to curse her...'
The duke is sobbing inside in relief while trying to keep his face straight, but he only looks anxious to others.
The Prince Consort couldn't help but shake his head and sigh.
'How are we suppose to eat in this kind of atmosphere?'
He just wanted to have lunch normally with his guests, but it seems that is impossible with the existence of his son.
The Prince Consort is really patient for being able to stay smiling gently in such a situation.
Unexpectedly, Light knew what his father is thinking and rolled his eyes in annoyance.
