Cameron's POV
Wesley and I got ready for the party and went together, not as a date, but as friends. His house was already packed. I could smell the alcohol as soon as I walked in.
"Hey, Cameron, Wesley, good game tonight, bro," Nathan greeted us as we came in. Nathan motioned for me to follow him. I looked up at Wesley, who told me to go and walked off. Not that I needed his permission, but I didn't want to just ditch him and make him angry.
"I'll get you a drink," Nathan loudly said back at me with a smile. I followed him to the kitchen, and he handed me a red solo cup filled with alcohol. I slowly drank it since I'm not really a big fan of getting drunk at parties, that and I wasn't completely sure what it was. I tend to regret a lot of things when I do drink.
"Let's go outside. It'll be quieter," Nathan suggested. He grabbed my hand and led me out back. There was close to no people out here. It must've been a private area because only members of the football team and girls they brought were out here.
He held my hand until we took a seat near the edge of his pool. His free arm without the drink found its way around my waist, and I was freaking out inside. He really was shooting his shot tonight. I have to admit, I kind of miss having a guy actually want me and show affection towards me. I slipped my shoes off and dipped my toes in the water as he did the same.
"You wanna go for a swim?"
"I don't have my suit," I chuckled nervously.
"Who said you needed a suit?"
"Oh, no, I'm not skinny dipping," I told him firmly.
"I was kidding," he chuckled, "but next time, you should bring a suit."
"Man, Nathan, teach me how you got with that one," one of the boys on the team hollered as they walked out to the pool. I put my face down in my hands, embarrassed.
"Ignore him, he's already drunk if you can't tell," Nathan said, trying to get me to lift my face back up. I chuckled a little and finally looked back up at him. He was smiling sheepishly at me. "Plus I don't even know how I could answer that question," he mumbled against the hair covering my ear. It sent tickles up my spine and made all of my hairs stand up. I didn't know someone's voice could have such an affect on someone.
We sat and enjoyed the weather and quietness. Soon enough, he went inside to get us some more drinks. While he was gone, Wesley found his way out there.
"Wesley, I'm really, really sorry about Nathan. I didn't ask to hangout with him tonight," I told him, not knowing why I felt sorry for hanging out with him because I shouldn't. He sat beside me and put his arm around my shoulders, a friend zone move. I leaned my head on his shoulder and sighed.
"Damn, Cam! Two in one night? Which one are you going home with? Or are you looking for a third?" The same guy as earlier yelled to me. I flipped him the bird and ignored his annoyingly drunk remarks. Wesley tensed up beside me, and I thought he was going to say something, so I placed my hand on his lap as if to tell him no. He relaxed and went back to our conversation,
"It's alright, Cam. I know you didn't. I just wish he wouldn't have stolen you away from me," he chuckled while rubbing his hand up and down my arm.
"You know, my night has been pretty boring without you," I admitted.
"Mine too. I-"
"Hey, cutie, here's your drink," Nathan said, breaking Wesley and I apart.
"Thanks, Nate," I gave him a small smile. He held his hand out for me to grab. I looked at Wesley apologetically. He gave me a little pat on the shoulder and shrugged for me to go with him.
I grabbed his hand, and he led me through the house, stopping at his room. He closed the door behind us, and took my drink from me to put it on a table by his bed.

Wesley's POV
-I sat at the edge of the pool where Cameron left me. I was thinking about how much I wish she would have just stayed here with me, but I encouraged her to go. I can't believe out of every one of my friends, she doesn't realize that she's hurting me.
I'm going to go look for her. She needs to know how I'm feeling. I want to hangout with her, not have her ditch me for Nathan. I got up from my spot at the pool and went to look for her.
"Have you seen Cameron?" I asked Zac.
"I don't know dude, I think she went upstairs with Nate."
"Are you fucking serious?" I can't believe she'd go hookup with him. I walked upstairs and looked for his room. I finally found it, so I opened the door. She was sitting on his bed, and he was putting his shirt on. I was too late.
"Sorry, wrong room," I muttered embarrassingly.
"Wait, Wesley!" Cameron called after me. I quickly hustled through the crowd and to my car. I saw her standing at the front door looking for me, but Nathan came out and tried to get her back inside. I left and went home after I saw her follow him in. I wish she could see that he's not the guy for her.
