PROLOGUE
————-ELOISE GRIMES, yawns as she brushes her honey blonde hair out of her face, a boy comes running in with a Smile as he looks at Eloise with his head tilted, Eloise places a green and white bow into her hair with a small smile her eyes looks at the mirrors seeing the young boy looking at her,
"Carl your shirt is on backwards and brush your teeth," she says making the boy thin his lips with a nod as he pulls his arms out of his shirt and twists them around so his shirt is on the normal way, Eloise moved out of the way of the mirror with a small smile, her father walks pass the door while her mother is chasing after him with a brown paper bag, a dog follows them as it pants,
"Have a good day kids, love you" Rick shouts before he shuts the door and rushes down the stairs leaving Lori, Eloise and Carl, watching, "breakfast"
Eloise smiles as she walks past her mother and into the kitchen before grabbing a cup and pouring some tea into it, and slowly sips at it before placing a bowl and spoon in front of Carl,
"Hey, mum am I walking home today with Carl?" Eloise asked as she bit into an apple, she didn't have a big appetite in the morning something her parents didn't like,
"Yeah," Lori says softly as she places Eloise's cheer uniform into her cheer bag and does the same for Carl but with his gym clothes, Eloise admired her mother ever since she was young,
Lori and Rick adopted her when she was about three years old from her parents who were abusing her, and she was thankful for them having a great childhood, when Carl was born she didn't speak to her parents only to him as she wasn't used to a baby, ever since then they have been each-other right hand,
"Hey bud, come on," Eloise says softly as she holds up his bag and holds it out for him, "bye mum" he shouts as Eloise adjusts the bag onto his shoulders with a small smile Eloise follows "Bye"
The cold Atlanta air nipped Eloise and Carl's cheeks as they walked down the street, cars passed by honking at some kids who were messing in the road, and the wind blew through Eloise's hair, sending a small smile onto her face as they walked around the corner and stops In front of a house that looked like hers just more posh and expensive,
"We get it" a girl's voice shouts as the door slams shut and two blonde girls walk down the stairs with smiles as they both bite into some toast,
"Hey," Estella shouts some crumbs falling from the corner of her mouth making Eloise and Carl chuckle at her, "hello Estella and Stella"
The three girls pull apart from the hug, they have been friends since they were young, ever since that z back in grade two when they ran from the teacher after placing some frog sperms into their teacher's shoes,
"Hey, don't we have cheer practice today?" Estella asked as she walked down the street, everyone nodded with a small smile, "Yeah, we get to see who gonna be the cheer captain for this year"
"I think you gonna get it," Stella says towards Eloise making Estella and Carl agree "Yeah you're like the best person for it, you're kind, and everyone likes you,"
The words send a smile onto Eloise's face, she brushes some of her hair from her fav the wind blows it into her eyes, and the sun shines down on everyone and everything, this was Eloise's favourite she was always one for the sun and moons,
-RHYE DIXON smirks as he holds his gun down and walks over towards the bird he just shot, he pushes back his jet black hair that is falling in front of his face, and he slips his black Bennie back on as he holds the bird up by it wing and walks back to the cabin that sits in the woods, his father Daryl is sat on the porch, sharpening his crossbow while meal is asleep, and his twin sister couldn't be seen,
"Got breakfast" Rhye says as he hands the bird to his father who's nodding and going back to his crossbow, and sharpens it more, Rhye doesn't understand why his father didn't talk much, his sister was the only person he knew, having grown up together, their mother abandoned them on there father doorstep,
"Hey Carrie wake up, it's noon," Rhye says as he walks into their shared room pulls his black Bennie off his head, and shakes getting his sweat everywhere making Carrie groan as she kicks at the boy not wanting to get up, a noise snaps his head up towards the door where their uncle walks pass grunting and scratching his stomach living his shirt up making Rhye scrunch his nose up as he leans over and shuts the door,
He allows his back to fall onto his mattress with a. Grunt not realising how much his body aches, he had been out in the woods since seven and it snowed twenty to twelve, he runs his hands over his face as he turns his head towards his sister who's looking at him half asleep, her blonde hair is all over the place and her shirt is hanging off her body slightly revealing her undergarments making him shut his eyes and look away, he was a gentleman with a rude and men's attitude,
"Go back to sleep," he whispers as he turns around and faces the wall, he kicks his boots off making them land on the floor with a thud he closes his eyes as he pulls his thin grey covers over himself before their door gets opens with force making it almost come on their hinges,
"I need one of the yo' kids to go shopping and get me some cigarettes," he says a thick accent slipping out making Rhye nods as he sits up, not wanting to be disturbed from the slumber he so desperately needed, "yes, I'll go"
He grabs his bike from underneath the cabin and brushes it down with the cobwebs and vines that have grown onto it, he pulls himself onto it and begs the sun to ride off down the path, the woods always seem to call him, and he didn't even know why, yeah he grew up in these woods but they get boring after a while,
The dirt flies up as Rhye slides his bike around the corner and parks it up with a deep breath, he pulls his Bennie on and walks into the beaten down shop, the shop where you could get anything underage die to the people who owned it didn't care, as long as they get the money,
"Two boxes of cigarettes and a beer" he says towards the woman who's chewing some gum as she looks at him up and down with a smirk, sweat clung onto him like a second skin his grey ripped shirt hugs him tightly as so does his black and red flannel that he sore had hols in,
"Your meals Nevue" The woman grinned as she handed him the stuff, her red painted nails touched his hand making him jump as he thins his lips, "tell him Anni said hi," she winked before Rhye nodded and walked out, breathing heavily, he places the cans and a box of cigarettes onto the back of his bike and begins to drive off down the muddy dirt road,
Welcome to change the prophecy!
