After sometime......
"Jai Hind, madam sir." Karishma entered Haseena's cabin and said.
Haseena composed herself, masking the whirlwind of thoughts that had been consuming her. "Ji, Karishma Singh, boliyay. Kuch kaam tha apko?"
"Madam sir, aap abhi phone par kisi se baat kar rahi thi. Humne suna aap..."
Haseena cut her in the middle and said. "Ap humari baatein sun rahi thi, Karishma Singh?"
Caught off guard, Karishma got nervous. "Nahi, hum sun nahi rahe the..."
"Toh?" She tried to hide her smile.
Karishma, gathering her thoughts, said, "Hum bahir baithe the. Aap wahan ja kar khidki ke paas unchi aawaz mein baat kar rahi thi, tou humen sunai dia."
"Matlab, ab hum phone par bhi baat nahi kar sakte kyunki aap aas paas kaan lagaye baithi hongi?" Haseena leaned back on her chair.
Karishma sighed with the frustration that what is happening around, madam sir life is in danger and what is madam sir concerning about.
"Madam sir, mudda yeh nahi hai ki humne kaise suna, kyun suna. Mudda yeh hai ki aap kya baat kar rahi thi. Aapko khatra hai? Kis se khatra hai apko? kaun tha phone par? Humein batayein."
Haseena saw the concern in Karishma's eyes and in her voice she felt a pang of guilt. She felt bad for misleading karishma as it's giving her stress. But she has to do it. As it's not even good for Karishma to live alone there thinking about everything happened and stressing herself.
"Madam sir, kahan kho gayi aap? Batiye humein," Karishma urged.
Haseena took a deep breath, maintaining her composure. "Kuch khas nahi hai, Karishma Singh. Aapko pareshaan hone ki zaroorat nahi hai. Hum dekh lenge."
Karishma shook her head, clearly unconvinced. "Dekhiye, aap yeh nahi kar sakti. Humein batayein."
Haseena changed the topic abruptly. "Aaj aap ghar jaane waali hain na? Taiyari ho gayi kya?"
Karishma looked at her in disbelief, her eyes reflected with hurt. "Ji, madam,"
She saluted, "Jai Hind," and left the room.
"Sorry Karishma Singh humen yeh Karna par raha ha agr ap chali jayn gi tou hum ap ko kasy samjahen gay, kasy ap ki help Karen gay, aur is sab ma, is takleef ma hum ap ko aklela ni chor sakty han, humra ap ky sath rehna zarori ha." Watching her leave, Haseena whispered to herself.

"Kitni jaldi hai unhen humein ghar bhejne ki, itni ke us phone call se bhi zyada. Bata deti toh kya ho jata? Hum madad hi karte,." Karishma walked to her desk, while muttering to herself.
"Lekin phir se wohi sab karna hai. pehle bhi akely sab kiya nae batya humen aur wo sab hua, ab phir se woi sab......." She sat down.
A memory from the past flashed in her mind Haseena lying in that bullet-ridden state, fighting for her life. The image was so vivid that it made Karishma's heart race.
The fear of losing Haseena again gripped her heart, making her chest tighten. Her heartbeat quickened as she remembered the terror and helplessness she had felt seeing Haseena injured.
With that, she abruptly opened the file in front of her, her eyes were blazing with resolve. "Ab ki baar hum kuch bhi hone nahi dany gay ap ko Madam Sir....." she whispered to herself, vowing to not repeat the same mistakes.
Afternoon....
After the workday ended, Haseena was leaving when Karishma quickly approached her. "Madam Sir,"
Karishma called out, causing Haseena to stop and ask, "Kia hua, Karishma Singh?"
