Haseena's heart stopped, She couldn’t move, she couldn’t breathe, the moment she saw Karishma slip over the edge.
Haseena’s mind went blank as she watched Karishma disappear over the edge. For a moment, she couldn’t believe what she had seen. Her body froze, and her hand reached out into empty space, as if she could somehow pull Karishma back from that impossible distance. But there was nothing. Only emptiness.
The reality hit her, piercing through her heart like a knife. Her legs buckled, and she dropped to her knees on the hard ground. Her heart pounded painfully in her chest. Her breaths came in shallow gasps as she tried to process what had just happened, but her mind was not accepting it.
Her lips trembled, and she whispered Karishma’s name, barely audible, as if saying it would somehow bring her back. But there was only silence. She squeezed her eyes shut, the tears now streaming freely down her face. Her shoulders shook, and a broken sob escaped her throat.
Finally, unable to hold it in, Haseena threw her head back and cried out Karishma’s name. She didn’t care who heard her, didn’t care about anything else in that moment. All she knew was that a part of her had been lost with Karishma’s fall, and she felt as though her world had shattered into pieces.
Haseena was still on her knees, trying to process, tears streaming down her face, "Haseena Malik…" when Bakshi voice cut through the air.
She blinked, taking a few seconds to come back to the present, to gather her scattered senses. Slowly, she looked up at him, her face streaked with tears, eyes with sorrow and disbelief.
"Yahan kya hua hai?" he asked, his gaze flickered from Haseena to the cliff’s edge as haseena was looking at there.
Haseena struggled to find her voice, to form a sentence. She stumbled to her feet, still unsteady, and stepped
“Sir… Karishma Singh…” her voice broke, and she pointed weakly towards the cliff.
“Please, wo wahan say....…” She couldn’t finish the sentence, her voice trailing off as tears continued to fall. She had never felt so helpless, each word feeling like it was being dragged out of her soul.
Bakshi's eyes narrowed, "Karishma Singh kahan hain, Haseena Malik? Kai hua ha batayay humen aap janti bhi hain unhon ne kya kiya hai? Woh pendrive churayi hai, itni badi galti!”
Without waiting, he reached over and took the pendrive from haseena hand, examining it. Haseena’s eyes widened, her heart sank as she realized he already knew that she was Karishma Singh.
“No… sir, Asa nae ha please,” her voice cracked, “Aap galat samajh rahe hain… aapka asli mujrim tou yeh hai!” She pointed at Anubhav’s lifeless body, where some other people from force were also present.
“Sab is ka kiya hai! Jo kuch hua… aaj tak, sab kuch, yeh usi ka plan tha! Karishma Singh ko isne bola tha pendrive lane ko… wo tou…” She choked again, barely able to continue. “Wo tou sirf... Wo Kuch nae janti ti, wo innocent han!”
Bakshi’s face remained impassive. “Haan, is pay tou pehle se shak tha,” he replied coldly. “Yeh hi hai jo mujrim hai, aur Karishma Singh ne uska kaha maana aur woh pendrive layi. Jo bhi hua, yeh dono zimmedar hain, yeh galt han tou sae wo bi nae han”
“Sir, please…acha yeh sab bad ma abi humein unhein dhoondna hai, abhi humri madad kijeyay please sir …...” she pleaded as her tears now moving faster.
The image of Karishma falling replayed in her mind, and her heart ached like it was being torn apart. She couldn’t wait, couldn’t lose even a second more. She had to find Karishma.
