The doctor after bandaging her chest moved towards her shoulder and pulled out the second bullet. Haseena clenched her fists, her entire being wrenched with each painful flinch of Karishma body. Watching Karishma like this in pain and hurting was a pain greater than any wound. It pierced her soul, deeper than anything she’d felt before.
As the doctor finished bandaging the wound, Haseena swallowed hard, “Doctor… yeh scratches bhi hain,” she said pointed towards her arms and face.
The doctor gave a reassuring smile. “Sab karenge. Don’t worry.”
With careful attention, she began treating each scratch and bruise, gentle and thorough, until every visible injury was addressed.
Finally, she straightened, letting out a breath. “Ho gaya sab.”
Haseena looked up, her voice trembling with hope. “Ab theek ho jayengi na?”
“Bilkul,” the doctor replied, giving a reassuring nod.
Relief flooded Haseena’s face as she breathed out, "Thank you."
“Ab aap bhi aa jaayiye… aapko bhi treatment ki zaroorat hai.” She pointed gently to the cuts and bruises that marked Haseena's own body.
But Haseena kept her eyes fixed on Karishma, shaking her head. “Nahi, hum theek hain,” she said softly, refusing to leave Karishma’s side.
“Aap khud theek hongi toh hi inka khayal rakh payengi na,” Doctor again said.
Haseena finally looked up, meeting her gaze. she gave a small, reluctant nod. “G… aate hain,” she whispered.

.Outside, the doctor’s daughter, Mannu, approached her mother. "Maa, kya hua?"
"Bach gayi hai. Theek ho jayegi. Time lagega, par ho jayegi," her mother replied.
Mannu let out a sigh of relief. "Thank God," she murmured,
"Tumhein kahaan mili yeh?" Doctor asked curiously.
“Hospital gayi thi main dekhne ke liye, kuch halaat behtar huye hain ke nahi. Wahaan dekha inhen aur kuch soojha nahi, toh le aayi ghar.”
"Achha kiya, abhi jaan bachana zyada zaroori tha," her mother replied thoughtfully.
Then, in a low voice, Mannu asked, "Hospital ka kya hoga, maa?"
"Pata nahi. Ab subah hi jaungi dekhti hoon kya hota hai." She replied with uncertainty.
They turned as they heard footsteps. Haseena approached them, and the doctor gestured toward a chair. "Aayiye, Yahan baithiye."
Haseena sat down, "Thank you...doctor" she stop and looked towards her when doctor replied. "Doctor Raima..."
"Thankyou so much Dr. Raima Jitna bhi aapka shukriya aada karen, kam hai."
The doctor shook her head with a warm smile. "You don’t need to. Yeh mera farz hai." She came forward with some medical supplies and applying ointment at Haseena’s wounds. "Yeh sab kaise hua, agar aap mind na karein bata sakti han?"
Haseena looked down for a moment, then replied, "Hum Haseena Malik hain… SHO Haseena Malik. Woh SI Karishma Singh hain. Ek mission pay Tay aur usi ke dauraan yeh sab ho gaya."
"Oh......"The doctor nodded in understanding.
Then Mannu chimed in, eyeing Haseena’s attire. "Aap yeh is tarah ke kapron mein…"
Her mother shot her a look, but Mannu quickly clarified, "Mera matlab, mission par aise kapde…?"
"Engagement thi humari aaj." Haseena managed a faint small smile,
