Next morning....

That morning, Karishma’s eyes opened sooner than usual. It normally took her time, but today… the missing warmth beside her nudged her awake. She blinked, looked at the empty bed, then around the room, frowning softly.

“Yeh kaise itni jaldi uth jaati hain…” she muttered to herself, swinging her legs off the bed.

She got up lazily and walked toward the washroom. The sound of running water greeted her ears. A faint smile touched her lips.

“Andar hain,” Karishma thought, about to turn and leave. But something stirred in her heart. A strange pull.

“Nae, nae Karishma… kuch bhi sochti ho tab nashe mein thi. Ab toh hosh mein ho.”

Yet the smile returned, stubborn and soft. “Humein kya pata wo andar hain… matlab, humein pata hai kay wo andar han par dekha toh nahi han na hum nay tou technically humen nae pata ha...tou hum Sirf assume kiyun Karen...."

She nodded to herself, “Hum yehi maan lete hain ke wo nahi hain andar.”

Before she could overthink again and change her decision, her hand moved quick, almost mischievous and she opened the door.

Inside, Haseena was standing in front of mirror, clearly preparing for a shower. She turned, startled. “Aapko knock karna nahi aata kya?”

Karishma stepped inside without guilt, shrugged. “Aap ko lock Karna nae ata ha Kya?.”

“Haan kyunki hum hamesha se akelay rahe hain… koi nahi tha yahaan. Aadat nahi hai humein lock karne ki.”

Karishma clicked the door shut behind her. Haseena raised an eyebrow.

Karishma moved closer, circling her arms around Haseena’s shoulders, resting her chin lightly. “Bohat achi aadat hai aapki… bas hamesha aisi hi rahiye ga.”

Haseena chuckled softly, slipping her hands around Karishma’s waist. “Kya iraade hain aapke?”

Karishma only smiled, taking slow steps towards the shower and pulling Haseena with her. “Zaida Kuch nae bas… shower lena hai. Aapke saath.”

Haseena’s eyes widened at her bold, confident statement. “Karishma…?”

Before she could say anything else, Karishma turned on the shower, and the droplets beginning to fall between them. soaking into fabric, clinging to skin. Haseena let out a soft gasp as the chill ran down her spine, but Karishma didn’t flinch. She stood close, her hands still around Haseena, their clothes already heavy with water.

Haseena looked into Karishma’s eyes, startled at first then a quiet surrender.

Karishma leaned in slowly, her lips brushing against Haseena’s. At first, just a touch like they were both afraid to break the moment. But then Karishma leaned in more, and Haseena didn’t pull away. Their lips moved gently, learning each other’s pace, growing bolder with every second. Karishma’s hand cupped Haseena’s cheek as she deepened the kiss, exploring her mouth softly, as if she’d waited too long for this and didn’t want to rush. Haseena responded with equal care, letting out a faint sigh against her lips, her fingers brushing Karishma’s shoulder, pulling her closer without saying a word.

They kissed until the need for air forced them apart, and even then, their foreheads touched, eyes still closed, catching their breath together in the silence filled only by the sound of water falling around them.

Karishma slowly lowered her lips to Haseena’s neck, kissing the damp skin just below her ear, then moving down to her collarbone. Haseena’s breath hitched, her body reacting before her mind could catch up. Karishma’s hands moved gently over her sides, then around her front, cradling the soft curves of Haseena’s body over the soaked fabric of her shirt.
