Sadie's POV:
I wake up the next morning cuddling Caleb. I look at the clock and it reads 10:00. Oh shit we're gonna be in trouble. We overslept. I wake up Caleb and Corey. Rushing as I get dressed. Once Sabrina, Maddie, and Ava are all ready. Corey drops us off back at the house before driving off. Once we reach inside we see Sophia standing there angrily.

"Hey Sophia aren't you a sight for sore eyes." I say sarcastically

"I am so sorry we're late we overslept." Sabrina explains nicely

"We should have called I know but my phone was dead." Maddie says

"We promise we won't be late without calling again." Ava says crossing her heart

"You guys worried me by being late. I looked everywhere I even went to your sets. Look just go upstairs I'll talk to you guys when I'm more calmed." Sophia says walking into her office slamming the door

"Wow Mommy dearest just grounded us. Too bad I don't care." I say shrugging

"Sades you should have let me do the talking then she wouldn't have stormed out. Or maybe she would have at least calmed down." Sabrina says rubbing her head

"Or maybe she should have not overreacted like that. She knew we were at a sleep over." Maddie states pointedly

"Yeah since when does she have the right to parent us? We've only been here for three weeks." Ava states confused

"Look let's just go upstairs. No need to make her more angry. I don't feel like dealing with her inner beast. Plus I don't care what a judge says she ain't my mom." I say as I go to my room slamming the door

Sabrina's POV:

I watch as Sadie runs to her room upstairs hearing her slam the door. I sigh as I head to my room. Leaving Maddie and Ava to head to their own rooms. Why couldn't we just grew up with a normal family? Why did we have to go through all this trauma? I head to my bed grabbing my notebook writing my song. I'm interrupted as Maddie enter my room.

"Hey Mads what's up?" I ask as she sits on my bed

"How long do you think she's gonna ground us for?" She asks smiling

"I don't know but do you think we're actually gonna listen to her?" I ask causing Maddie to shake her head

"Nah she shouldn't have the right to ground us when she knew we were sleeping over somewhere. Sure it wasn't the house we said we were at but we did have a sleepover." Maddie says shrugging

"Yeah I agree. It's stupid. Just because we didn't come home early this morning does not mean we should be grounded." I say strumming my guitar

"You working on a new song?" Maddie asks excitedly

"Yeah it's called "On Purpose" wanna hear it?" I ask smiling as she nods quickly

"It's really beautiful Sabs." Maddie says after I finish singing what I have written so far

"It's not done yet but I'm glad you like it so far." I say smiling as she hugs me

"I do! I am really excited for this new album. It's gonna be epic!" Maddie says happily

"Thanks Mads! You better head to your room before Sophia gets even more pissed that you're in here. I don't think either one of wants to see that. I already witnessed her mad once today and that was enough for me personally." I say as she nods laughing turning around and leaving

I sigh as I watch her leave closing my door. Maybe if we actually grew up Sophia would understand us. Maybe then she would actually trust us when we tell her the truth. Or maybe she would try to get to know us. I can't help but feel like this is a bad idea having us here. She doesn't know how to mother. She is trying to be the mother we needed when we were younger not the one we need now. I hope one day she can be the mom again. I sigh as I put my guitar away. I lay in my bed closing my eyes deciding to take a nap.
