Chapter 15

Sadie's pov:

Currently I'm on set of Stranger Things with my wonderful boyfriend Caleb. I can't help but think how amazing he's made my life. Without him I don't know where I would be. He's the one who keeps me calm. I've been on set since five this morning and have already filmed most of my scenes for today. I'm watching Caleb film his last scene when I feel a tap on my shoulder. I turn around seeing the one person in this world I want to avoid.

"We need to talk." Sophia says seriously making me confused

"Can we talk tonight? I'm waiting for Caleb and Gaten and we're gonna get lunch." I say

"No I need to ask why your sisters and you have been sneaking out almost every night?" Sophia ask

"Didn't know we had to let you know where we are once you are asleep." I say rolling my eyes

"I'm in charge of you girls I need you to ask me before you go anywhere at night okay?" Sophia asks kindly

"That's not fair you don't know what my sisters and I went through and the trauma we endured in life because of you giving us up. You weren't able to be the mom we needed then so why try now." I say making her roll her eyes

"So you thought not saying anything and you girls sneaking out at god knows what hours of the night is better?" Sophia ask madly

As I was about to say something Gaten and Caleb come over.

"Hey babe oh hello Sophia what are you doing here?" Caleb asks confused

"It doesn't matter she's just leaving you ready to go get lunch?" I ask giving Sophia a look

"Wait shouldn't your mom come with us since she is here?" Gaten asks me as I close my eyes sighing

"Stop saying she is my mom cause she ain't." I say defensively

Sophia looked extremely hurt as I say that. Gaten walks over to Sophia ignoring what I just said. I can't help but roll my eyes. At the same time I'm not shocked this is Gaten who we are talking about. He literally is friends with everyone. The first day I met him he gave me his lunch because I didn't have anything.

"Hey Sophia ignore how snappy Sadie is she just has had a rough day at work today. Please come we would all love it especially me." Gaten says smiling

"She can't she doesn't have time today. Plus she wants to go home. She has plans with her boyfriend that she doesn't know I know about. Plus she hasn't to take Ava and Maddie to therapy today." I start to say but was cut off by Caleb

"We know this place that serves amazing Italian it's like three minutes from here." Caleb says ignoring the look I shoot him

I pull Caleb leaving Gaten and Sophia alone as I bring him to my trailer.

"What are you guys doing?" I ask angrily

"Look how is she ever gonna trust you and your sisters if you don't let her get to know more about the people you guys sneak out too?" Caleb asks

"No I ain't doing this." I say crossing my arms stubbornly

"The only way she's gonna trust me to be around you is if she gets to know me better. Plus I know there's a part of you that wants her to come cause that means she plans on staying. You just won't let that part show and you won't admit it." Caleb says hugging me

"She abandoned us. Why should she get to decide if I sneak out at night or not. She isn't even a mom to us." I say

"I understand that. But the judge did give her custody of your sisters and you." Caleb says
