Sophia's POV:

I wake up at 11:45 to my alarm. I lay in bed hearing my kids laughing loud. I go downstairs to see Ava, Maddie, Chloe, Corey, Caleb, Gaten, Rowan, and Sabrina, and Sadie playing monopoly at the dinner table. I watch with a smile as this is the first time I see all my kids relaxed. They are all acting like kids instead of adults. They all look genuinely happy. I see Sadie tense as she sees me standing there watching them.

"Why are you watching us? How long have you been there?" Sadie asks tensely

"Sades relax." Caleb says rubbing her back

"Do you wanna join us Mrs Bush?" Corey asks as Sabrina elbows him

"I'd love too. Are you sure you all don't mind? Also please call me Sophia." I ask smiling

"Actually." Before Maddie could finish Chloe interrupts her

"We would love it if you did." Chloe smiles

"Who's winning so far?" I ask sitting down near Gaten smiling

"Rowan but she's cheating." Ava answers rolling her eyes

"I am not you guys just suck at this game." Rowan says laughing

"Bro you saw how the orphanage was we didn't have time for monopoly with all the chores." Sabrina says looking at Rowan

"Plus the orphanage didn't have monopoly it'd be a sin if they did." Sadie said rolling her eyes

"How was work?" I ask changing the subject

"Fine." My daughters reply all at once

I sigh knowing I won't get anything out of them except one worded answers. I don't know what to do. I keep trying but they keep pushing me away. All I can do is keep trying and hope one day they will let me in. As I start to play I see my daughters get up dragging their friends upstairs. I can only assume they are headed to Sabrina's room. I can't help but wonder will our relationship ever be fixed?

Ava's POV:

I follow my sisters upstairs knowing they need a break from Sophia. As nice as she is being it doesn't fix the trauma she made my sisters go through. Yes I have been through some things but my sisters have had it worse. They always took most of the beatings for me when they could. They shielded me as best as they could. I forever owe them for all they did for me. They are the ones who raised me. I will always stick by there sides. Sadie pulls me out of my thoughts as she talks to me.

"Hey Aves are you down for movie night tomorrow at Caleb's?" Sadie asks me while cuddling Caleb

"Is everyone coming?" I ask looking at my sisters and friends

"Yeah Aves we're all coming." Maddie says smiling

"Cool what are we gonna play?" I ask

"Well Corey and Gaten want to play Chucky." Sabrina answers laughing as Corey kisses her head

"So we're doing our annual scary movie all nighter we do every month?" Rowan asks sitting on Gaten's lap

"Who's in charge of snacks and don't say Caleb he'll bring healthy options." I say laughing

"I was thinking I could this time." Chloe says shrugging

"I'm down you always make good desserts. I wish I could bake like you." Maddie says smiling at Chloe

"Okay so we got that figured out now one last thing are we gonna do the annual sleep over too?" I ask

"Of course Aves we have been doing this tradition since we formed this group." Caleb says reassuring me

"Plus it takes you all away from Sophia which I know you all need." Corey says

"Yeah Aves plus we have to prank Corey while he's sleeping like we always do." Gaten whispers to me making me laugh

"Hey Sades, you and Sabrina should sing "Mockingbird" by Eminem. Remember Sophia would sing it to us when we had nightmares?" Maddie suggests

I nod my head smiling. I don't know what I'd do without this group. I watch as my sisters sing realizing that without them I don't know where'd I be in life. They are the reason I had more of childhood then they did. I can't wait for tomorrow. I know one thing tomorrow is gonna be epic it always is.
