Chapter 11

Sadie's POV:

I wake up at 7:00 to my phone blasting "Slim Shady" by Eminem I quickly turn my alarm off. I lay in bed remembering all the drama with Sophia that played out yesterday. I quickly get up and shower getting dressed for the day. I put on some light makeup curling my hair. As I finish getting ready there is a knock on my door. I open my door sighing in relief seeing it be Sabrina and not Sophia.

"Hey Sab how'd you sleep?" I ask grabbing my leather jacket out of the closet to put on

"Alright Sophia came and saw me last night to apologize." Sabrina says sitting on my bed rolling her eyes

"Yeah well she devil tried to come in my room last night I pretended to be asleep." I say laughing as Sabrina smirks

"Yeah well I made the mistake of opening the door when she knocked. In my defense I thought it was gonna be Maddie, Ava, or you." Sabrina says shrugging

"So what's the plan are we all gonna go down and have breakfast with her?" I say rolling my eyes

Before Sabrina can respond I hear two knocks on my door. I look at Sabrina knowing she is also hoping one of those knocks don't belong to Sophia. I open the door relaxing when I see Maddie and Ava standing there. I move out of the way and watch as they join Sabrina on the bed before I close my door locking it.

"Did spawn point try to come in your rooms last night to talk too?" I ask looking at Maddie and Aves watching as they nod

"If she did I didn't hear it I had my headphones in last night. Which I'm glad about because she can keep her lame ass apologies." Mads says shrugging rolling her eyes

"She tried to get me to open my door last night and let her in but I ignored it. There is nothing she can say to excuse what she did." Aves says sadly

"Guess I was the only one who stupidly answered her knock." Sabrina says rolling her eyes laughing

"Isn't it lame how she tried to talk to all of us like she has actual reasons to do what she did." Mads says sighing

"I just wish she'd tried to be our mom." Ava confesses looking at the floor I watch as Mads and Sabs hug her

"Aves it's okay we all secretly want that. At least we still have each other. That is one thing you will never have to wish for." I say hugging her as she nods

"As much as I wish we could camp out here all day what are we gonna do for breakfast?" Aves asks

"Well we can go downstairs, eat, ignore her, and then come back upstairs and hang in my room." Maddie suggests

"Alright I'm down for that lord knows I'm good at ignoring her scratching nails against chalkboard voice." I say seriously

"Okay Aves let's go eat." Sabrina says as Ava smiles and we all go downstairs

I am the last to walk downstairs. Once we're downstairs I grab the cereal ignoring the fact Sophia is cooking. I grab four bowls handing them to Sabrina. I watch as Maddie grabs the milk and Ava grabs the spoons. We all sit at the table eating. I scroll on my phone looking at my TikTok. I look at Sabrina and Maddie and see them listening to music. I look at Ava and see she's busy texting August. I smile thinking about the crush she has on him. We all eat our cereal ignoring Sophia's attempts to get our attention. Once we finish our food we rinse out our bowls going into Maddie's room. I sigh as I lay on her bed knowing today is gonna be another long day avoiding Sophia. I can't wait til Tuesday when we all go back to work.
