Diluc surveyed his sword as it glinted. He had taken it to be sharpened after his brief, disastrous conversation with Kaeya. While his brother was many things he wasn't dim-witted in the slightest, Kaeya possessed more intelligence and cunning than a hoard of top trained weasel thieves that had absorbed the entire akasha terminal network and possessed fatui technology and it was because of this fact that Diluc was making such security preparations. They had at least taken his mind off of his current family situation though he was less pleased that they had also distracted him from his man hunt.
Diluc was determined to catch that Traveller, he couldn't remember much from before but he had heard the full confession. Though the Travellers name and previous story were foggy the fact that he had tied him to a tree certainly wasn't. Diluc seethed silently at the thought, he couldn't believe he had let his guard down, even more so now he was most likely going to be indebted to Kaeya...more than he already was...
Diluc grimaced at the thought.

'Finally I've found you! I've been looking for you' Kazuha glanced down at the young boy infront of him. A teenager, perhaps 16? with snowy white hair and bright green eyes, his arms were covered in scars and the ridiculous goggles on his head shone in the sun.
He caught Kazuha glancing at them and tapped their rim. 'They're my safety goggles' he told him proudly
'I'm Bennet, leader of Benny's Adventure Team! well...I would be...but no one's joined yet, would you believe it's cos of my bad luck?' as the kid prattled on Kazuha grew more and more bored. He coughed pointedly and Bennet finally seemed to take the hint. He grinned sheepishly. 'Sorry I tend to go on a bit...what was I meant to say..oh! right um The Cavalry Captain requests your presence' upon seeing Kazuha's confused expression Bennet clarified 'Kaeya, Kaeya wants to see you, I was trying to sound like a professional guard announcer but I guess it didn't work'
Kazuha gave the kid a pained smile and turned away, he could hear Bennet calling after him. 'If you decide to stay in Mondstadt you should consider joining my team!'. Kazuha grimaced.
Someone should kill that kid.
Though Kazuha had insisted on not being distracted by Kaeya again he found himself infront of the anemo archon statue waiting for the blue haired man. He convinced himself it was his curiosity getting the best of him. They had toured more of Mondstadt since that first meeting and somehow Kazuha felt they had grown closer, spending so much time together it was a wonder Kaeya hadn't been fired.
He watched as Kaeya approached, wearing the same lazy smirk on his face. Kazuha tilted his head questioningly but Kaeya simply raised a finger to his lips 'I have something I need to tell you, we must go somewhere quite though' he smiled down at Kazuha, teasingly 'can you keep a secret?'
The two found themselves at windrise. Kazuha remembered his last time here, darkness clouded his thoughts as he cursed himself for not killing off Diluc then and there. Kaeya's voice soon distracted him.
'I've been thinking...we've grown closer Kazuha, I've only known you a couple days but it feels like a lifetime' Kazuha's mouth dried as Kaeya continued 'I feel...something between us, a bond of sorts, which is why I want to entrust you with a secret of mine, I've never told anyone this..' he paused, shooting Kazuha a tentative look 'but it feels right to tell you...I think you may be able to help...'
Kazuha leaned forward, heart racing as he watched Kaeya pulling his thoughts together. He buzzed with energy, he wanted Kaeya to say something specific. He wasn't entirely sure what exactly, but he had the general gist down. He remembered the words he said to Baishi, so sweet... sickeningly sweet to hide the deceit behind them.
Kaeya looked at him, their eyes met as energy flowed through them. The dappled leaves cast shadows that danced along his dark skin, his hair shone from the light. Kazuha's breath caught in his throat as he surveyed the scene before him. It looked like something straight out of one of his paintings as crystal flies gently surrounded them. The leaves rustled softly as the wind glided through branches, humming a soft melody only it knew the meaning of.
Ice blue eyes met his, softening the longer they held his gaze. He waited with bated breath for Kaeya's confession, something that would change the trajectory of their short, sweet friendship. His heart pounded as he ran through all the possible things Kaeya could say, he barely knew this man yet he found himself craving him, desiring his presence, flooding his brain with thoughts of Mondstadts very own "Prince Charming".
But no matter what Kazuha thought, no matter how many scenarios he ran through, nothing could prepare him for what left Kaeya's lips.
'I want to kill my brother'
