For the entirety of the class, I was frozen in fear and confusion. Shortly after Derek told me that he knew my secret, I had rushed into the classroom and slammed the door in his face.
How did he even know who I was? He isn't even in my grade. Will he tell Nathaniel? I'm so utterly screwed.
Although mind was filled with confusion and fear, I was certain of one thing: I needed to confront him.
Suddenly the bell rang and I jumped in surprise.
"Okay class, I'll see you the next next day!" The teacher hollered over the noise of students rushing to leave school and head home.
I packed my spiral and binder faster than the rest of the students and lugged my backpack out, rushing to Mrs. Inkle's class where Derek was. I looked frantically around the class for a tall, dark haired guy.
"Hello again! How was your class? Did you have--" Mrs. Inkle tried to talk to me but I quickly cut her off before I was going to cut off my head listening to her talk.
"Sorry, not now, but have you seen--" I stopped mid-sentence when felt 2 taps on my shoulder.
"Looking for me?" Derek grinned.
I glared at him and grabbed his ear. "Yes, and you're coming with me, mister." I began leading, well more like dragging, him outside.
I ignored his yelps of pain and protests. "Man up, Derek."
"I can't exactly 'man up' if I can't even stand straight thanks to a psycho dragging me by my---OW!" He groaned as I tugged his ear extra hard and let go.
We stood outside the school, in the parking lots. There was an overflow of high schoolers coming out the front doors in front of the school.
"You know, I would've came willingly if you gave me a chance." He pouted and glared at me.
"You're going home with me." I said, ignoring his pout.
"Whoa, usually my looks takes 2 to 3 days to work but, babe, if you wanted me that badly you could've told me." He smirked but quickly took a step back when he saw my hand raised again to pinch his ears.
"Where's your car?" I said, "I need you to come home with me."
"I don't have a car."
How the heck are we getting home then? Crap.
"WHAT," I shrieked. "OMG YOU SHOULD'VE SAID SOMETHING SOONER! WE GOTTA TAKE THE BUS THEN. HURRY! OR WE'RE GOING TO MISS IT." I begin running towards the bus ramps but then I realized I wasn't going anywhere because Derek grabbed my arm.
"Chill," He said lazily. "I don't have a car, but I have a motorcycle."
I glared at him. "I hate you."
"Suit yourself." He said, "Follow me."
I stomped my feet extra loud as I trailed behind him. He lead me to a sleek black motorcycle with blue fire on both sides.
