I was in the hospital for the second time for the same reason as the last. But i wasn't there playing the one giving life, i was the role of being the wife. August had agreed to getting pregnant after i gave birth to Valerie. Despite all the tragedy you would expect her to feel like she wouldn't want to give it a try, she did anyways. because she wanted to feel what it was like i supposed. August's pregnancy was way easier than mine, but still a struggle we were able to get through together. She had her moments similar to mine where she was scared to die or to lose our baby, or she just felt like giving up due to the pain. I understood exactly how she felt, and i condoled her and supported her every second on the way just as she did for me.

August was in labour, her pregnancy was almost perfectly on point, her water broke one day after her due date naturally. She took epidural to help the contractions, and she was so strong. I was so proud of her. We held hands, she was a little funky from the drugs she took like i did, so a bit woozy you'd say. She was cute as hell though, she looked so pretty for a mother in labour, or maybe i just couldn't help but always find her pretty 😔

It took only 65 minutes for her to hive birth, the longest sixty five minutes i'd ever experienced my whole life, honestly.  We already knew our baby was a boy, and we decided on the name beforehand. "Teddy Oscar, Joe", was his name. His middle name was Oscar, in honour of Aj's father. Valerie's middle name was my mom's middle name though, i chose the baby i birthed's middle name, and August chose the middle name for the baby she birthed, and we both agreed to the first names together.

Teddy was a healthy baby boy, and you could tell he was a mama's boy, to August of course. He cried whenever i held him for too long, he hated being taken from August, and all he wanted was to be cradled in August's arms. I fell in love with him more than i expected to, he was so cute and handsome. He looked like the most perfect combination of my brother and August, because i looked very alike to my brother as a girl, so my face as a boy pretty much looked like my brother.  August was crying happy tears while holding him the first 10 minutes after giving birth. I hugged her, i hugged her so strongly. Not tightly, not hardly, strongly.  I wanted her to feel my arrogance. My strong mama, whom was my baby still, in the end.

Teddy was so precious, Valerie's reaction was just as precious too. She came in wearing her pink unicorn patterned dress, and climbed up beside her mama to see the baby. Valerie had been staying with both my mom and august's mom, so she was getting taken care of. She was so excited, she gently leaned over and softly kissed his forehead. August gestured for Val to sit on her lap so she could "hold" the baby with the help of her mommy. I helped position the mom and daughter so they sat as comfortably as possible, and i helped move Valerie's arms to hold her little brother. She giggled seeing him, she couldn't stop smiling, which made her mama's cry over the feeling of our hearts melting. August was a little more emotional, so she definitely shed a few more tears than i did.

August stayed at the hospital for also three days, and when we got sent home the car was so full of love, i felt it. We let Valerie sit in the passenger seat for the first time with her carseat while August nurtured Teddy, and she was all excited and everything. "Can Teddy play barbies? Or can he play makeup?"  Valerie asked, i giggled at her little gesture, because obviously the baby couldn't play barbies, but i imagined her putting her glitter lip balm she called "makeup" on Teddy. August also chuckled at Val's little question. "Well, baby no he cannot, he can only really sleep and eat for a living, and cry a lot too. Maybe when he's older, okay?" August said, she was so maternal, so motherly it was quite attractive. Especially the tone she said it in? It was such gentle parenting, i thought fell in love again for a second. I nodded to her reply and added, "I agree with mama, but don't worry, Val! I'll still play barbie with you, and we can play makeup together. We could also do dress up, try on your new dresses and i'll try out mine? How's that sound?" Valerie clapped and giggled, meaning she'd love that.

We arrived home, we took Valerie and got her ready for bed, since it was 7:45PM, her bedtime. We were sent home at around six thirty , but the hospital was a little far, about 25 minutes to get there or to get back; plus the last minute packing and getting detoured for gas and food also made us take longer.

——————————————————————

It'd been a month since Teddy was born, and it was near Val's birthday! So we threw her the cutest kitty themed party. She loved our pet cats, i guess she got that obsession from her mom. She loved the doggies too, just as much actually, but not more than kitties. We made it mainly kitty themed but also added a few other animals of ours that she loved. Me and August made the cake together a night that the kids stayed at their grandma's. August's mom who moved to the same state as us awhile back.

Something i noticed about my wife is that had developed a glow, ever since i had Valerie. A white glow, like a halo. She was so incredibly good at taking care of the kids and i, and she had finally bettered herself. She looked happier than ever, oh how i loved it. My baby, smiling. Though she was now a mother, she was still my little girl, and i loved her and took care of her every second, she made me so proud and happy.

August would always be her little self, no matter where she was or who she became, she was my original princess, my first forever "baby", and the love of my life.

I love you, August.
Thank you for being the most loving mom and the most perfect wife, despite the circumstances.
