Short Chapter!!
Me and August had been together for 3 years, and we were together in real life for the fourth time our whole relationship. We were at a beach in california, and we had been doing everything, including tanning, swimming of course, being weird, and talking. A lot of talking.
"I can't believe we have to leave in two days, this is always my least favourite part about our visits, i wish they lasted forever." I said in an unhappy tone. "Hey, we're almost old enough to move out, we got this!" August said. Awfully positive of her to say. I nodded, "True, i really can't wait." I began to start thinking of how we would manage to pull it off, because i was planning on taking a year off before starting university/college. "Aj, how much has your business been making so far? Per month?" I asked, she pulled out her phone "Uhh, let me see. About three thousand?" I got an idea, if we started saving up about sixteen to twenty thousand bucks, we were going to be pretty set for our beginning process of moving in together. So, i would start saving up money and working for it myself, so me and her both provided equal profit toward our goal.
I explained my plan to my girlfriend, and she agreed with it immediately. We told our parents about it, and they said they would help us save up, which was very sweet of them. "Cool, we have like two or three years to accomplish our goal, I think we can do this." I said cheerfully, my face lit up just due to the thoughts of starting our future we'd been wanting since we started dating.
My plan exactly was, I would start working at that time, just as Aj was with her nail tech and cosmetics business she ran for the past year or two. We'd both save up to eight to ten thousand each, just to see how much we decided to start off with. It was going to be a struggle and a lot of work, but we motivated each other , as our minds wandered to our cottage with pink brink and beautiful foundation, in the middle of nowhere right beside somewhere, with our animals and kids, with our garden and harvest, with our happy lives we'd be desiring our whole lives. It was very much exciting, and it was something we could live up to.
'Everything is going to be worth it someday, when we'll be relaxing and reliving our lives again through a book together. We got this!!' I said to myself daily.

2 and a half years later, we completed our money goal. We made 18K together, and we were so proud. I graduated high school, and I decided i would fly to Louisiana where me and August decided to rent our first apartment, one where we were able to keep finn, August's cat. We started looking for good , safe buildings. We coordinated each option with our lifestyles and jobs to figure out which would be the best one. We found a cheap one, it was averagely sized, and allowed pets, it was close to local supermarkets and job opportunities for myself, it was perfect for our first apartment. We moved in with the help of our families, and we managed our own place. 'Our first place together. Ohmygosh.'
Though the process of finding a home was difficult and terrifyingly stressful, finally achieving the baby steps to our dreams felt so rewarding. We were so proud and happy, and me and August went crazy.
When we stepped foot inside the white and grey room, we screamed and jumped excitedly. We were so happy, we didn't care how bland it was, it was amazing. We brought in our decorations from our rooms we would temporarily use to save money, and the first weeks we just slept on the floor with my girlfriend's old big mattress. We didn't give a single thought to it though, we were so grateful we were safe and finally out to live our new lives together. I liked knowing August yet felt comfortable knowing she wasn't so far from her hometown, from her family. I felt joy in which knowing she barely felt homesick.
Unexpectedly, we actually decided our first weeks in, we would do our best to make homemade food as often as possible, somedays we'd take out, but we focused on starting our own happy life. So, on the first night together in our new temporary home, i cooked Aj her childhood favourite meal, chicken alfredo. I cooked it the way her mom did, since she gave me her recipe. it was a success. August seemed to love it, she ate three dishes, making me feel proud of myself.
The first weeks of adapting to our new environment sounded like the song "Idea 22" It was uneasy for a little, hard. But soon, it became perfect, we figured it out! We had started making money, living happily and healthy.
We did it, our first big step. :D
