This story is set around the Half Blood Prince (sixth year). All students are now eighteen or just turning eighteen. Everything from Harry Potter has happened until now with a few twists involving the characters below. Harry and his friends will not appear much within this story as the plot doesn't actually involve them (yet).
The story will be told mostly from Mattheo's perspective.
Lucius and Narcissa took Mattheo in as a baby and raised him like one of their own. More out of fear of the Dark Lord than love.

Before we dive into the story, I just want to say thank you for choosing to read The Serpent and Hawke. I have always enjoyed writing and would love to write my own novel one day, I'm just waiting on that spark of inspiration!
I grew up with HP, a comfort that I don't think I'll ever grow out of.
