Paige grins as she stands up from her chair hugging Geno, her dad, her little brother and lastly of course her girlfriend

Kameron practically jumped onto Paige's arms when the blonde turned to embrace her, the tears in her eyes signified the absolute pride and joy she was currently feeling for her girlfriend

nobody deserved this more than she did— Kameron witnessed how hard Paige has worked during her final year in UCONN, not letting anything to get in her way of bringing back the championship trophy to her team and university

Paige wrapped her arms tightly around Kameron's body as she listened to Kameron whisper sweet words of congratulations and adoration in her ear

"you're so amazing, P! i'm so proud of you" Kameron smiles holding Paige's face in her hands as they pulled away

"I love you, captain" the blonde says

Kameron eventually let go of Paige, watching as she walked towards the stage holding up the purple jersey with her last name on it

purple really was her color, Kameron giggled as she took hundreds of pictures of her girlfriend like a proud mother

she puts an arm around Drew who at this point was almost the same height as her but to the Stevens girl it didn't matter if he grows bigger than her in the future— she will always love him like he was her own baby brother.

The past year has been a whirlwind of new opportunities and adventures for both Paige and Kameron— not just for their relationship but for their individual careers in general

right after Kameron finished her summer program at Julliard she was offered the assistant director position for choreography at their dance department

she was even given the opportunity to perform in their annual summer showcase that made Kameron's popularity in the dancing world sky rocket

the Stevens girl was invited to appear in a couple of red carpet events alongside Paige

who speaking of spent majority of her summer living with Kameron in her new apartment in new york— when she wasn't off doing side quests in various states in the country she would come home to Kameron and even visit her at her new work

when basketball season started Kameron would fly back to Storrs to watch some of the team's game and visit her old teammates.

The most memorable game definitely was when UCONN faced off against USC again during the championships and won

bringing back the title to the huskies

right after that, all the talk in the world of women's basketball surrounded Paige and her upcoming debut in the WNBA— there wasn't even a debate whether the girl would be first pick in the drafts or not

everybody just knew that she would be

and Kameron Stevens couldn't be more proud of her girlfriend, she was finally achieving her dreams and Kameron felt privileged to have been there with Paige when she did.
