Diana "I hope this is alright mother"

Hippolyta "It is fine sweetheart"

Diana "I am sorry for doubting you twice today. And for pushing you. Oh gods I wounded my own mother"

Hippolyta "Now how silly of you to apologize for something that was not your fault. Come sit with me"

Diana does and Hippolyta hugs her

Hippolyta "You are the bravest woman to walk this Earth, and now we have another battle on our hands. This time, an enemy of mine now unleashing her wrath on innocent people. Great Gaia, what have I done? This is my fault"

Diana "Mother, do not cross that line"

Hippolyta "No Diana. My past demon has come back to bite me. This is a curse from above. A curse that intertwined theses events together. As soon as I visited you this morning, Circe attacked. This is no coincidental, fate has brought this foe to me. I must face her, Circe's power is unmatched to these people. And I fear she will exact her revenge by going after my precious daughter and my home"

Diana then consoles her mother "Mother, after all Circe did to you. You still tried to cure her but you had no other option. This is the ideals you set for us. Now the enemy has returned, but we shall defeat her again. It is my duty as Wonder Woman to protect these people, my duty as Princess to serve the Queen, my duty as a daughter to protect my mother. We will fight. Me, you, Becca, Steve, Etta"

Hippolyta pinches Diana's cheeks "These words and tone feel familiar. It seems my daughter has outgrown her mother. I still see the curious little girl who used to jump on my bed, or the adorable baby who used to pull on my hair. I forget how much you've grown at times despite seeing you as the vibrant, courageous woman you are"

Diana "I will always be your little Diana. Remember our conversation after my fight with Giganta? Nothing can tear us apart, not even Circe. You will be the heart and soul of our team here, and the people will be grateful to have you. I will ask Trinia to send a message to Artemis, seems her desire to be a queen-figure has finally come true. But should we call her and other warriors for assistance?"

Hippolyta "No. I still aim to uphold the ideal of Amazons only entering the outside world in desperate times. This battle is between me and Circe and having Amazons here increases the risk of mortality or our home compromised. Please tell Trinia to pass this onto Artemis and just in case, reinforce our defences"

Diana nods as Becca comes in with some coffee and cookies. Hippolyta takes in and thanks her

Hippolyta "Becca sit with us"

Becca raises her eyes

Hippolyta "Please. You are just as much family as my daughter"

Becca "Well...thank you"

Hippolyta "It is natural to feel intimidated Becca, I know you do not mean it. But if I was in your position, I'd be even worse. Being in a relationship with a crown Princess of a secret kingdom of the most impactful community on Earth is something easier said than done. My wife Phillippus felt the same, she felt she was not good enough to be in a relationship with the Queen of the Amazons, she was very hesitant to ask for my hand in marriage so I asked her. Overtime she embraced it. She has unanimous support from my people, and from me. I wish she could have lived long enough to see you two. She would have loved you"

Hippolyta sips the coffee "This is..."

Becca "Oh... did I?.... Should I make a new one..."

Hippolyta "No no this tastes excellent, dare I say better than the coffee back home"
