Chapter 8: Moving In

Jack's POV

I was just sitting there in the clearing near the pond, watching Penelope fly away, why would she do that?

I got up and decided to go after her, to get some answers and hopefully a little more....

Penelope's POV

I walked into the dark cottage and coughed due to the dust particles flying around, I summoned a ball of light in my left hand and saw; a queen sized bed, a couple if lamps,an oven with a stove top, a fridge and what looks like a small bathroom with a shower, sink and toilet, it also had a sofa, closet and a upstairs, seeming to be a guest room! It doesn't look like it has been used in years! I decided to make myself at home and get some light in this place!

I finally got food from Burgess to put in my fridge, it now contained, Cinnamon Rolls, vegetables and lots of pomegranate! My favourite fruit! I also got some new bed sheets, made if silk and was a silvery blue, "ha. Kinda like Jacks hair..." I thought to myself.... Even though its been almost 1 hour since I last saw him, I missed that mischievous guy! I got some new blankets as well! A lovely colour of white! And lots of fluffy pillows!

I went outside and saw that the sun had set already and the moon just stood there in the sky, silent, still and bright. I stared at it for a moment and then an idea piped into my mind!

"I know! I'm going to have a Bon fire and roast marshmallows, haha!" I squeaked with excitement for my new, brilliant idea! I rushed inside, grabbed a bag full of marshmallows, gathered wood and with a small snap of my fingers the little teepee of wood was on fire! I grabbed a stick and began to sing one of my favourite songs:

I trailed off as I saw my marshmallow fall into the scorching fire, I isn't realize I was crying until a cold wind hit my face, making the exposed feelings sting... I looked around for any signs of Jack and then felt a very cold pair of arms around my waist, I looked up and saw Jacks face being lit up from the fire and he smiled at me, leaning in and whispered in my ear,

"I'm in your heart always to hold you and to protect you..."

Jack's POV

I was flying around town and near the forest out cropping, even over the pond! I still couldn't find her! I decided that my heart was sinking and was determined to find her and get some answered questions! I was flying over a very thick piece of forest and saw smoke! I got excited for a moment thinking to myself "Penelope could be there!" I have never been more excited about finding anything in my life!

I was flying fast towards the smoky region and saw that in fact it was her! I saw that the flame was reflecting off of her beautiful, ivory skin. I flew a little more an landed in a tree beside a cottage, type thing and heard her start to sing! I wasn't even paying attention to what I was doing, I sub-consciously landed soft on the ground making a little wind, results of her standing up. I walked towards Penelope and as she was about to turn around I hugged her at her waist. I haven't been so happy in a long time, I told her "I'm in your heart always to hold you and to protect you..."

"Jack... I love you..."

" I love you too, Penelope..."

She turned to face me and we leaned closer for a kiss, her hair smelled of fresh pine trees and open air, oh how I enjoyed being at her side, I jerked her towards me, being the playful spirit I am, I laid my icy lips on her tender ones, making my heart beat faster, I felt her fingers coil through my hair and broke the kiss.

"Why did you run away?"

"The moon.... He....spoke to me, about... Us......."

I gave her a shocked look as he took my hand an lea me to the small building, I assume its hers now,

Penelope's POV

As I took Jack'a icy hands into my own, my heart quickened at the touch. I lead him into my home and offered him anything to eat or drink,

"Do you want anything to eat or drink?"

"Uh, water, please!"

I went to my fridge and got out a container full of cool water, I also got out one of my glasses and gave him the drink, we sat down at the table and chairs I recently "found".

"Why did you run away?" He asked me with upset eyes, I couldn't lie to that adorable face.... I couldn't!

I took a deep breath in and said

"The moon, told me, yesterday that I was to have a mate, a life partner, what ever you want to call it, but i didn't realize tht he was talking about..." My voice trailed off

"About? What?" He asked eagerly, with a smug grin on his face, I could feel my face start to burn up, I looked down at my hands. After a couple of seconds I said calmly

"Jack, the moon has made us a pair..." I was looking at y hands again, then I heard a chair squeak, I looked up to see him standing with a straight face, oh no!

"Now Jack! I had no control over what the Man in The Moon chooses but, I do know that we coul-"

Jack rushed over to me and grabbed my shoulders roughly and crashed his lips against mine, I was shocked and I stood there, wide eyes and heart quickly picking up speed, my eyes closed, I cupped my hands on him face and we started to walk backwards... To the bed.... Right..... Over ..... There......

Jack's POV

When she told me that the Moon had paired us together, I was in shock, then a over wheeling sense came over me and I stood up and grabbed Penelope and planted my lips in her lips, she was sting something but I cut we off, we took steps towards we Nicky made bed, I like the colours!

We landed softly on the bed, me pinning her down, I could feel one of her hands on the back of y neck and the other one ruffling my hair, oh god she turned me on! We flipped over to her on top of me, she sat up, sitting on my thighs and said

"Jack, what are we doing?!"

"Being naughty, like I should be!" I said playfully, yet it came out more in a sedusive tone, she smiled at me and started to kiss me again, but this time, she was more passionate about it, she rubbed her soft pink lips against mine, we tossed an turned until we got tired, we laid there in piece and quite, nothing to hear but the soft crackling of the small fire pit in the middle if the living room

"Jack?" Penelope whispered to me in a sleepy tone

"Ya..?"

"I love,you"

"I love you too, good night, Penelope.."

We both were resting on the silk sheets with a warm blanket over us, I rarely got warm but i didn't bother me, Penelope laid on top if me with both hands on my chest. Breathing slowly, I kissed her fore head and went into a lovely sleep.
