Chapter 6: Jamie

Penelope POV

I was walking through the forest, swinging my arms, smile on my face, now your probably thinking " oh she likes him" or "they are going to have babies" or anything like that but no! Today was the first day I actually hung out with someone! On over 100 years!! C'mon, cut me some slack!

I'm actually excited for tomorrow, ya, ya.... I know! I began to think of what we could do tomorrow, but then my mind started to wander to that little kid named... Jamie? I think that was his name, I don't know but all I could hear in my head were his words that he spoke

"All you have to do is to believe in them...." I couldn't have actually believed in him! I mean if I didn't believe before then how could I have seen him? Why did I see him? Maybe we are alike? I don't know, this many questions make my head throb... I flew up to my favourite tree, I thanked the Moon for the new friend and drifted of into a deep sleep

Jack POV

I saw Jaime in his room playing with his action figures making all kinds of sound affects, I tapped on his window and his eyes lit up

"JACK! I haven't seen you in the longest time!!" Jaime said as he hugged me when I entered his room

" I know, I've just been busy with a lot of Guardian things."

"I understand.... I met a new friend today! Her name is Selena! She has long curly blonde hair! Her eyes are brown and she knows my name!"

I froze at his excitement, wow, Jaime is growing fast, already meeting girls!

"That's awesome! Do you like her?" I asked, I notice his cheeks went red...

"...I-I dunno....." I smiled at his answer

"Jack? How do I get her to like me?"

I was shocked at that answer....

"Uummm... Well... First... You gotta.... Be nice, and tell funny jokes, make her feel happy.... And umm..." I didn't know what to say!!!

"Really? That's all?" Jaime asked

"Uh... Ya?" I said unsure

"Okay!!!!" He said enthusiastically

We started talking about Jaimie's school and his favourite sport and his friends then he stopped talking...

"What's up kid?" I asked nervously

"Jack?..... Do you like someone?" Jaime whispered to me

I was shocked, I mean, it not very day that you meet someone your age that is immortal, but Penelope, I just met her... It would seem kinda weird for me to like her that much, and for her to be a Guardian! Now that's a lot going on!

"No... I don't meet many people my age, Jaime" he looked down and said

"Well did you meet anyone?"

"I did but she is just a friend!" His face lit up at my response, I don't know why he want's to know so much about who I meet but I'm guessing that he looks up to me and he expects a proper response to everything! Kinda ironic, cause I am the Guardian of fun and Mischief!

"When are you going to see her again?what's her name? do you think she is pretty? Is she fun to be around? What kind of food does she like?" He kept on asking question after question and I finally answered all of them, unfortunately it was 11:23 and Jaime was getting sleepy, he yawned and told me that he was going to bed now, I tucked him in and I said my good bye, I flew away, not knowing where to go but into the forest!
