"So, how've you been?" Gracie asks, looking at her ex-girlfriend as the two of them sit in a coffee shop.

"Um, I'm good. How're you?" Y/n asks with a smile as she takes a sip of her coffee.

"Well, it's felt kind of weird without you. I've mainly just been hanging with Abby and Audrey at home. Weenie misses you"

"I miss him too. Um, I really liked good riddance by the way"

"Really? It didn't make you uncomfortable? I wasn't sure how you'd feel about it" Gracie replies nervously as she stirs her drink with her spoon.

"No, I loved it. I mean, it wasn't great reliving the end of our relationship, but you captured the essence of it really well. You're a great writer"

"Well, I couldn't do it without you. Y/n, I want to try again. With us. I know I messed up last time, but I won't do it again. Just let me be close to you and I promise I won't hurt you again" Gracie pleads as she watches Y/n's face light up before dropping.

"Gracie, I want that too. But I've kind of been seeing someone. It's nothing serious but I need to end things with her before I try again with you" Y/n tells the brunette as she takes her hand in her own.

"Oh. Yeah, of course. Just let me know when you're ready and I'll be here" Gracie replies with a soft smile. The two of them talk for a while longer before they get up and go their separate ways.

"So, we've been having these very successful coffee shop dates for a few weeks now. How about we change it up a little bit?" Gracie asks with a smirk as she watches Y/n drink her coffee.

"How do you suppose we do that?"

"Well, this new fancy restaurant just opened up. Audrey told me it's pretty good. Wanna try it out?"

"That sounds great! By the way, I broke up with her. Do with that information what you will" Y/n tells the brunette with a teasing smile as she leans over the table to kiss the girl's cheek before leaning back in her chair, leaving Gracie with a deep blush.

The two girls leave the coffee shop hand in hand before being harassed by paparazzi.

"Are you two back together?"

"Is good riddance about Y/n?"

They quickly get into Gracie's car before driving back to Gracie's house. Gracie parks the car before opening Y/n's door for her as they walk inside the house.

"Weenie! I missed you baby!" Y/n exclaims in excitement when the dog jumps on her. Gracie watches with a smile before Audrey walks out of her room.

"Y/n! It's so good to see you again! Gracie hasn't shut up about you!" The two of them exchange a hug before pulling away with big smiles.

"I've missed you, Audrey! Yeah, Gracie doesn't really stop talking at all"

"I'm right here!" The brunette exclaims in offence.

"It's not a bad thing! I think it's cute" Y/n replies as she kisses the taller girl's cheek before turning her attention back to the dog.

"So, how's it going? Are you back together?" Audrey whispers to her best friend as they both look at the girl playing with the dog.

"Not yet. We're getting there. We're going to that new restaurant tomorrow. I might ask her then"

"I miss her, so you better hurry up with it" Audrey teases as she goes to sit on the coach while Gracie smiles at her ex playing with her dog.

"This place is fancy. Is this where you take all the girls?" Y/n jokes as she takes a seat at the table.

"Babe, you're the only girl. I didn't actually go on any dates after we broke up" Gracie admits as she picks up her menu, not noticing the girl looking at her.

"You didn't? Why not?"

"I just wasn't interested in anyone but you. I've spent these last few months working on myself so I can be better for you" Gracie puts down the menu before seeing tears form in the other girls' eyes.

"Y/n? What's wrong?" Gracie quickly takes the other girl's hand, bringing it to her lips.

"You're so sweet! Why're you so perfect?" Y/n cries as Gracie walks to the other side of the table, bringing the girl in for a hug.

"Baby, I'm definitely not perfect. We broke up because of me" Gracie giggles as she replies while Y/n continues to cry into her shoudler.

"I missed you so much! I was so happy when you messaged me a few weeks ago. I really want to be with you, Gracie"

"Okay, Y/n, will you be my girlfriend?" Y/n quickly pulls away from the girl with a wide grin when she sees the girl holding a necklace with the brunette's initials on it.

"Yes! Of course I will, you idiot!" Gracie pulls the girl in for a soft kiss before putting the necklace around her girlfriend's neck.

"Ugh, I forgot about this part of your relationship. Can't you guys do that in your room?" Audrey teases when she walks into the house only to find Gracie and Y/n making out on the couch.

"You weren't home. We can do whatever we want" Gracie replies, wrapping her arms around her girlfriend's shoulder before pressing a soft kiss against her cheek.
