Chapter 30
"Ow, ow, ow. Be gentle, Asúl," Ryzel whined at his boyfriend who was putting some kind of cream on the small cut on his lower lip.
"I am, Ryzel. Now, shut up and let me treat you," Blue replied with a small eye roll and Ryzel gasped scandalously.
"Who are you and what have you done to my sweet boyfriend? Asúl's not this sassy," Ryzel added with wide eyes, earning a chuckle from Blue.
The couple are back in Blue's room, and after they freshened up, Blue quickly attended to the small cut on Ryzel's lip. After five minutes of applying the cream, which Blue should have finished at about five seconds except for Ryzel's whining, Blue returned the cream to his drawer and grabbed the hair dryer.
Ryzel's eyes sparked with excitement and sat on the foot of the bed. "Hurry up, Asul! Come on!" Ryzel impatiently called Blue who was equally thrilled at seeing Ryzel's beaming expression. Ryzel's eyes were a bit puffy and there's a ghost of tiredness in it, so Blue wanted to pamper his boyfriend after experiencing such an emotional high.
Ryzel loves getting his hair blow-dried. The way Blue massages his scalp makes him want to melt.
After getting his hair dried, Blue and Ryzel watched a movie. One thing they enjoyed doing is watching B-rated films and exchanging criticisms one after the other. Sometimes, one would be the critic while the other would defend the film. That is what is happening now, and they are watching a horror flick.
"Oh, come on. You can't be serious," Ryzel groaned in disappointment at the untimely demise of one of the characters. He was not complaining that the character died too soon, but it was the manner on how her death was executed. "This is stupid, Blue."
"What are you talking about? Can't you see how the camera panned and zoomed on her bleeding head? That's some quality production there."
Ryzel turned to Blue. "She died after slipping on the side of the road, then smashing her head on the concrete," Ryzel deadpanned.
"And? My argument still stands, Ryzel. This is quality production."
"Again, Blue. This is stupid and frankly, a diversion from the main storyline." The movie introduced Beth, the one who just died from slipping, as one of the main characters. But after getting the couple invested in her, Beth died, just like that.
They are watching a slasher movie, and one would assume that since the storyline revolves around a psycho killer slashing just about everyone, Beth would die getting slashed too. Apparently, the director had other ideas, or maybe, the writers.
"You need to look at the entire picture as a whole, Ryzel. Beth's death is needed for the plot development, and the manner of her death is irrelevant. Now, the other main characters are thinking of avenging her."
"Against a slasher?" Ryzel replied in a blank tone. He cannot understand why Blue was so passionate about the movie. It sucked so bad.
"Uh-huh," Blue grinned. "How awesome is that?"
Ryzel heaved a deep sigh. "Whatever floats your boat, Asúl. Be grateful that I love you," Ryzel added.
"I love you too, baby." Blue smiled and kissed Ryzel's temples.

"Fuck!"
"Jesus!"
Blue was startled at his father and brother's shriek, making him grimace. He just woke up and panicked slightly when he did not feel Ryzel beside him, only to sigh in relief when he noticed a sticky note on his forehead.
