Under the dandelion shimmer of fairy lights, Zee pulled Chawarin into his embrace, into his lips. While kneeling on the plush mattress, Zee wrapped his arm around Chawarin's waist and pushed his body into the vampire. The heat from their bodies as the neon lights from the landscape below seemed to double as Zee closed his eyes. How sweet, he thought as his tongue slipped out of his lips and rolled in pulsing circles. His other hand wrapped around Chawarin's neck and he rubbed his thumb along the quickening pulse. Zee continued to suck at the flesh, harder and stronger. Chawarin released a small groan and Zee's eyes opened. He pulled away from Chawarin's nape and peeked over the latter's shoulders.
“Did that hurt?”
Chawarin put his hands over his eyes and shook his head. Zee noticed his ears had gone red and then he pulled away after wiping away at Chawarin's damp nape.
“I'm finished,” Zee said and he rolled over on the bed, sitting with his legs crossed under him and a pillow over his lap, “The mark should last another week.”
Chawarin glanced over his shoulder and placed his hand over the mark that had been darkening. He spun around, supporting himself up with his hands flat on the mattress. Looking like he was about to crawl over to Zee, Chawarin froze and glared at him.
“Is this it?”
“Uh-hm,” Zee squeezed at the pillow that was now being crushed between his lap.
Chawarin stared at him with intense eyes, “It's different.”
“No, it's not,” Zee shrugged with pouty lips, “We did this last week too.”
Chawarin squinted his eyes, “My first mark lasted us two weeks. Why aren't you doing it like my first one?”
Zee raised a brow and then he looked away, “Doing it weekly is fine, isn't it?”
It went quiet as Chawarin turned away as well, “Once a week is good. But—” he pressed on the plum-colored mark that was beginning to feel tender, “It's not as…”
“Not as what?” Zee asked as he scratched his cheek.
“Did it feel weird?”
“Hah?” Zee lilted forward, “You're asking me if it felt weird?” Shouldn't you be the uncomfortable one? I'm giving you a—
“Did you not like…” Chawarin paused and Zee leaned forward, his eyes asking for him to continue, “Did you not like biting me?”
Zee's lips flapped open and closed. He stammered, trying to find the right words as Chawarin began to scoot away to the far end of the bed after watching him lose his voice. Zee saw this and reached out, yanking at his wrist. He pulled the vampire down onto the pillow beside him and leaned down to look him in the eyes.
