Fool Me Once

Caroline  and Grace enters the Grill and walks over to Jeremy.

Caroline asked him,"Hey, Jeremy. Where is Elena? I've been texting her and Bonnie all day about Duke's party."

Jeremy was confused as to why she is asking him," Uh, she went somewhere with Stefan. Who is Duke?"

"I am so not going to be one of those girls who disappears just because she has a new boyfriend.Some guy that graduated a couple of years ago. And he throws a party every time he comes home from Duke.
You know, you should come."

Jeremy told them,"Uh, yeah, I - I don't think so."

Grace  then sat down next to him and said,"No, seriously. Everyone goes. Even I am going. So I need you there too. Care might leave me for Ratty Matty." Caroline sees Matt and walks up to him."And she left me for a boy."

They chatted a bit about school and the development of Alaric and Jenna's relationship.

Later, Jeremy gets at the party and looks around for Anna. Anna shows up and the two of them go for a walk away from the crowd. Anna tells him that she is leaving town with her mom and Jeremy kisses her. Anna's face begins to show that she is a vampire and Jeremy asks what is going on when Ben appears and knocks him out.

Grace was stressed as always and decided to be like a normal teenager and have some fun. The ground was littered with empty bottles, waiting for me to trip over them. As for the people in this crowded area, they look emotionally empty. 

Grace grabbed a few beer and went to an quiet area and drank quite a bit. Grace heard a voice and turned and saw Tyler,"Never did I think you would be here." Grace gave him a small smile,"Care left me for your bestie, so I am alone. And considering we don't talk anymore, I started to drink a bit."

He offered Grace his hand to dance and she took his hand and they were dancing. They moved to the music.

Hands in the air.

Just pure distraction.

Both forgetting their problems for a bit.

Tomorrow, they will feel the consequences, but in that moment they felt safe with each other. They stared in each other's eyes, Grace's gaze moved to his lips and before they realised, their lips met. In a moment of passion, time moved fast and they forgot their surroundings.

They talked all night. About their parents. Animal attacks. Just filling in the silence. They felt like their friendship was back. One with lingering feelings. One, oblivious to the other. He kissed her neck and asked her,"When did you get a tattoo? It is kinda sexy."

Grace was very confused. Her memories has nothing of tattoos in them."Tattoo?"

"Yeah, it looks like a weird styled E."

Grace just gave a nervous giggle. "I remember now. It was an impulsive thing. It is getting late. I have to go home."
Tyler dropped her of at home and he felt his old feelings returning.

Bonnie and Sheila keep chanting the spell and the tomb's door cracks open. Damon, to be sure that Sheila won't seal him into the tomb, grabs Elena and takes her with him in.

Damon is still in the tomb yet cannot find Katherine anywhere. Stefan comes to him and realizes that Katherine is not in the tomb, never was. Damon is frustrated and throws the IV bag of blood against the wall breaking it. Stefan urges him to hurry so they can get out before the seal closes again. Elena runs in to beg them to leave. The three of them get out just in time before the door closes again.

Bonnie and Sheila go back home while Sheila looks exhausted over the energy she spent for the spell and goes to lie down. Elena and Stefan rush to find Jeremy who is waking up and he is fine. Damon is shocked for not finding Katherine and Elena hugs him telling him she is sorry. Elena takes Jeremy home who says he cannot remember anything but when Elena leaves to go to Bonnie, Jeremy starts searching on the Internet about vampires.
