The sacrifice

The next morning,Elijah went to the tomb after the Salvatore brothers were there.

"Katerina!"

She came out of the darkness scared that he's there. Elijah looked into her eyes and compelled her,"Throw me the moonstone and that this one. You will not leave this tomb unless I say so."

Unwillingly,she followed the instructions and now has a different moonstone in her hand that looks similar. She realizes that the Orginials can compel vampires.

She was trembling in fear that Elijah is going to leave her there for Klaus. They both heard some noise and someone breathing heavy coming into the tomb.

Grace came down with a bag around her shoulders and a cooler bag."Hi! Missed me?"

Katherine was so confused and just observed the situation. As much as she likes the human, she's not planning on getting killed to save her.

"What are you doing here? It is not part of the plan."

Grace just rolled her eyes and said," Well, I might not have been listening and I wanted to give Kat some stuff. You know, even prisoners get food and necessities."

Elijah loved her big heart, but it can land her in hot water if she keeps doing dangerous things. She throw the bag to Katherine and moved the cooler into the tomb.

"There's some bloodbags in the cooler and some clothes, wet wipes, dry shampoo in the bag."

Katherine was more then surprised realizing the cousin of Elena knows about the supernatural and is with Elijah. Now it makes sense. The tattoo...E. They are soulmates.

"I did not think you would be a soulmate to an Original. You're too kind."

Grace had a smile on her face and it took a few moments to realise what Kat had said and she frowned,"Excuse you...did you just say soulmate?"

"Yes....oh..did he not tell you yet? My bad."

Grace turned and faced Elijah. Her faced turned red from the anger she felt, but her eyes shone with betrayal.

"Please let me explain." He tried to hold her hands, but she pushed him away.

Grace tried to hold back the tears threatening to fall and with a trembling voice, she asked," How could you not tell me? I should have trusted you, because it seems like you don't trust me."

She run out of the tomb, not wanting to be near him. Elijah rubbed his face and knows he has made a mistake. He needs to fix this.

"Oops... my apologies." Katherine looked a bit smug after what she had done.

Elijah start compelling her again,"You will not speak about me being here or what happened." He will talk to Grace when she is a bit calmer. He needs to save the doppelgänger from her suicide mission.

Grace's pov

I run through the woods to my car. I can't believe this. He lied, well he wasn't truthful. This is not supposed to happen. This is too different from the show. Changes can only cause complications.

How is this even possible?

I need to go home and cry. Or yell. Or bake cakes.

I am just going to spend time with mom and eat cake and watch Friends or one tree hill.

Later Jeremy is home with a bandage on his neck. "Hey, you okay?" Jeremy was not expecting Grace to be back yet. It was safer for her to be in Richmond.

"Oh yeah,this is nothing. Just a little accident." Jeremy observed all the desserts and sweets on the table and me watching Friends."What's happening here?"

"Me and mom spent sometime together. But she left tfor her date... and now I am alone...Care and me are not speaking at the moment. Tyler, probably hates me. You and Elena are always so busy. So I am alone and sad."

Jeremy gave me a hug and he felt guilty about not telling me about why Care is how she is, or the supernatural ruining their lives."So, can I join you?"

I smiled and said,"Please. I might eat everything on my own and roll to school tomorrow."

We both laughed and watched the show.

3rd person's pov

Meanwhile,Elena decides to take matters into her own hands and offers a tempting incentive to Rose for her help. When things take an unexpected turn, however, Rose calls on Damon to deal with the plan Elena has set in motion, which involves her trying to get Klaus's attention.

Jeremy's reckless attempt to help Bonnie retrieve the moonstone lands him in a life-threatening position and forces Stefan to put himself in danger to protect him from Katherine. Tyler shows Caroline the Lockwood cellar, where she makes a discovery that leaves them both terrified.
