Children of the Damned

[This is basically a filler chapter. You can skip. It is not so important.  I just did not know how to add Grace in these episodes)

Previously on the Vampire Diaires, Damon takes a trip to Georgia with Elena, where he surprises an old flame, Bree, and enlists her help to figure out how to open the tomb. When Damon returns from Georgia, Stefan is waiting with news that will change their world.

Elena found out that she was adopted and was mad that Jenna knee and didn't tell her.

As Stefan and Damon try to figure out the identity of the new vampire in town, Stefan gives Elena jewelry filled with vervain to protect her family and friends. Stefan and Damon accompany Elena to a school dance with a 1950s theme, where Alaric introduces himself to Damon. Jenna and Alaric were getting along at the dance and he took her home and asked her one a date.

Gracie was not in the mood for a 50s dance and being a third wheel with all the couples.

She decided to use the time to go to the gym and work on her school work. She decided to work on the Gilbert's garden. She wanted to see if she has green thumbs here.

A few days later, Damon is slicing a tomato and talking to Jenna, who is sitting on a counter with a glass of wine in hand.

Damon told Jenna, "My father never approved of anyone I dated, which only made me want them more. Of course. What about you?"

Jenna said,"There were a few guys. Logan isn't the only loser I've dated."

"They ever find him? Or is he still missing?"

Jenna said to him,"He's not missing. He's in the Bahamas working on his tan. Very entitled, that one. Marches to his own drum. He's a Fell. They're all snooty."

Damon chuckles and walks over to Jenna, pouring more wine into her glass. She raises her glass to him and Damon turns back around to continue cooking.

Damon greeted the two girls who entered.
Jenna turns around right when Elena enters the kitchen. Grace walked out from her room when she smelt some delicious cooking. Elena is shocked to see Damon there.

Jenna asked Elena first,"Hey. Where have you been? We're cooking dinner. And Grace, glad you can join us. It feels like you have been gone for a while."

"Is Stefan with you?"

Elena looked a bit conflicted and said,“Um - he'll be here soon.”Grace then looked at her mother,"I have been a bit busy and why is there a strange man in our kitchen?"

Damon then stuck his hand out for an introduction,"Damon Salvatore. I think we met before." Grace just shrugged her shoulders and went into the living room.

Elena leans against the counter which Jenna is sitting on and watches Damon with distaste.

Damon places something at the dinner table and heads back to the kitchen. Elena is carrying plates towards the table and Damon deliberately bumps into her.

Elena smiles in an annoyed way and shakes her head as she continues on past Damon to place the plates at the table.

Damon asked her," Speaking of Stefan, where is he? He's missing family night, which I am enjoying immensely."
Elena walks back into the kitchen to gather more dinnerware. Damon pauses briefly before changing the topic.

Later on,Grace, Damon and Jeremy are sitting in the family room playing a video game.

Jeremy was annoyed at Damon,"You said you never played this thing before."

Damon jokingly said, "I'm a fast learner. Quick reflexes."
Jeremy's phone goes off. He pauses the game and takes out his phone, but ignores the call, he tosses his phone aside and unpauses the game. Grace just watched this interaction.

Damon asked him,"Who are you dodging?"
"This girl Anna. She can be, uh, persistent."

Elena walked to the door when the doorbel rang,"That's Stefan."Damon quickly gets up from the couch and walks over to the door. Jeremy watches him go, agitated.

Jeremy exclaimed at Damon," Dude!"
Elena opens the front door, Damon right behind her. Stefan looks at Damon, confused to why he's at the house, then to Elena, who shrugs.

Everyone left and it was just Grace and Jenna. Grace started mixing a cake. They were going to eat cake and watch some Friends.

Elena and Stefan manage to unearth the grimoire, but Damon shows up. Damon looks hurt but also mad over their betrayal, especially Elena's who promised him that he could trust Stefan and he believed her. Damon asks for the journal otherwise he will kill Elena. Stefan knows that he would never do that and then Damon grabs Elena and forces him to drink his blood. He wouldn't kill her, but he could turn her into a vampire without hesitation. Stefan knows that he would do that and gives him the journal while he walks away with a terrified Elena.

Damon gets the journal and flashes back to the night he lost Katherine.

Back at the Gilbert house, Elena asks Stefan to bring her an aspirin and he goes downstairs to ask Jenna for one. Jenna tells him that Jeremy's friend Anna is in the house. Stefan, in a quick flashback to the night when Katherine was captured, he remembers Pearl's daughter and realizes who is Anna. He runs upstairs to Elena's room, but Elena is gone.
