In the far past...

(There might be differences from the show to fit the story)

When the Mikaelsons were human, Ester did have a favorite.Elijah was her favorite. He reminded her of her younger brother that died of a cold.

When she and her husband turned their children into vampires, she felt an immense guilt for Elijah. He always struggled going against his moral values.

She wanted someone for him that can help him, balance him out. She tied his soul to a lost soul. They will eventually find each other. Only supernatural creatures can feel the bond, humans cannot. Humans can only feel a small quantity of the true bond.

Present time
Grace's pov

I never got car sick, but I guess vampire speed sickness plagues me. Elijah put me in the car and left. So, he might kill me, at least he is hotter then I remember. I feel nauseous, maybe because of the speeding to the car or seeing a head detached from where it usually is.

Will the Salvatores find me? Or will they just leave me here?Do I really want to be in a car with the love triangle? That is not something I want.

I waited in the car for a half hour. Nobody is here so I am left here. I need the keys to the car and a phone to tell mom I am alive. Dad is out of town, he will be back in like a month. He has a big work opportunity. It is safer for him to be away from supernatural central.

I walk back to the house and walked through the front door. I find Elijah's grey, impaled body against a wall. I look through his pockets and found a phone. I dialed Jenna's number and after a few rings, she answered and I said,"Hey Mom."

Jenna was relieved hearing her daughter's voice,"Where the hell have you been? Grace Rose Sommers-Forbes!"

"Ahhh. Mom, I am so sorry. My friend Ellie in Richmond, her mom is in the hospital and she needs some company. Is it okay if I stay with her for a bit. I completely forget to tell you."

"Fine, but only for a few days. I feel like I haven't seen you in a while." Grace then told her," Of course Mom. I will probably be back soon. Be safe and watch out for creepy loners. Bye."

I need to get Elijah's trust to help me protect my family. Jenna is not dying on my watch.

I will try to use my newfound gym strength and pull out the make shift stake in his chest. I struggled for a while, but I got it out.

He is lying on the floor. I decided to do something stupid again. I grab some broken glass from a window and made a small cut on my palm. Some blood drops run across my hand and I held it above Elijah's mouth. I sat next to him.

After a ten seconds, some colour return to his body. He totally might kill me, but I need to do something. Earlier he did not seem too eager to kill me. So we will see.

His face regained colour and his eyes shot open. He sat up quickly, expecting a stake in his heart, but to his surprise he hear a squeak. He looked to his side and there I sat with my  hand on my heart.

"Dude! Do you plan on giving me a heart attack?"

I hear no answer."So I am taking that as a yes. I need your help, but I have information that can help you. My name is Grace, by the way."

Elijah was confused as what was happening. She needs help with what...I will kill anyone who hurts her.

"Klaus did not drop your family in the ocean, they are safe in boxes in a warehouse in maybe Chicago. He just said that because he wanted to be away from you."

Elijah was flabbergasted. He believes her, but was in shock.

"What the... how do you...what's happening?"

"I had a near death experience and then had like visions in my brain. I know it is crazy and unbelievable. But you know werewolves and stuff exists, so this is not too crazy."

Elijah questioned, still I'm shock,"Visions? "

Grace just rolled her eyes and raised her voice,"Yes, visions. Are deaf or something? Got staked too many times?...I gave you some blood, I can give you more as long as you don't kill me...you're too quiet.  Are you planning my murder? Oh my..." Grace rambled on not realizing the way he was looking at her.

Elijah stood up from the ground and helped Grace to stand up too."I gave you my word to not hurt you. I am fine without blood. But can we talk more about what you need and these visions? I have a place in Richmond where we can talk."

I nodded and then handed him his wallet, keys and his phone. Elijah patted his pockets, wondering how I got all his stuff.

I just shrugged my shoulders,"I needed a way home. How was I suppose to know you were not dead dead?"

We went to the car, getting ready for the drive.
