I sat on my bed waiting for Carter like every night for the past two or so years, since our sophomore year. Whenever my twin brother, Zion, would invite him to stay the night, he would always ask me to stay up until everyone fell asleep. At first I was reluctant, afraid he was trying to put the moves on me, ya know? But he never did. Not until I was ready anyways.

We've been secretly dating officially for the past six months.

Only secretly because if my brother found out he would kill Carter and I both, not only that they're best friends and Carter promised he wouldn't try anything with me. But it kinda just happened.

Only person that knows beside us is my best friend Andrea. To the rest of the world I'm like a "little sister" to him. At least that's his excuse.

"I started to think you weren't coming." I smile once he walks in. He dives on my bed.

"And miss cuddling up with my beautiful girl?" He pulls me on top of him. "I would rather be institutionalized." He smiles, pulling me down to kiss his lips.

"Shut up." I smile getting off of him. I walk into my bathroom and pee for like the fourth time in like the past hour and a half.

"I think I've developed a bladder problem babe." I sigh laying back down.

"Why?"

"I keep peeing, more often than normal."

"Maybe it's because of your sudden craving of citrus green tea lately. You should stop drinking it so much. Plus it looks like you've gained a couple pounds."

"How dare you?" I scoff, nudging him. "I wouldn't say I've gained anything, I feel the same."

"I mean I've noticed it. Your boobs and your hips and thighs, like, expanded over night or something. Look at how much you've been eating." he gestures to my trash can full of wrappers.

"Carter, you're being mean." I roll my eyes.

"Calm down." he laughs. "I just think maybe you're carrying my child." he trails off.

"What? Don't say that." I shake my head.

"I'm kidding." he laughs rolling on top of me. "Relax baby." he pecks my lips. I pull him back down for a real kiss, running my hand through his chestnut brown hair. We made for a moment and he suddenly pulled away. "Would that be such a bad thing Zora?" He looks into my eyes.

"What?" I raise an eyebrow.

"Carrying my child."

"Maybe ten years from now." I laugh, he didn't crack a smile. "I mean, we're only 18 Carter, a baby could ruin our lives."

"Our? Or yours?" He sighs getting off of me.

"You're talking like you want me to be pregnant. Where is this coming from?" I sit up.

"I mean, I think it would be pretty amazing." he shrugs.

"The girl of my dreams carrying my baby? That sounds perfect to me."

"Oh my gosh." I shake my head with a sigh.

"Baby look," he kneels in front of me, "You love me right?" I nod. "Well if you are pregnant, we could elope." he laughs.

"This isn't funny at all."

"I'm being serious. I have two older sisters with kids I know the symptoms. And you have them. You told me your stomach has been cramping, and it's pass that time of the month. I counted. You were sick this morning. Right?"

"Yes. But a child? Right now? I would die. We can't take care of a baby. We have to hide our relationship. Why bring a baby into it?" I cross my arms. "I do not want a baby any time soon."

"Fine." he frowns, those brown eyes were filled with hurt. "And what if you are already?"

"Then... we will just have to get rid of it." I hesitantly stated.

"Wow." he stands up. "Okay Zora. Way to be fucking selfish."

"I don't understand this. Why have you been pushing this baby subject in my face all of a sudden."

"I love you baby. And this is our last few months of high school. And I know college is right around the corner and I just wanna be with you-"

"But you-"

"I know the stupid deal to break up before then but I don't want to. I know I'm gonna lose you to someone else and it kills me to think like that. Name any couple you know that stuck together through college? And if a baby assures that we will then so be it! I'll put millions in you if I have to."

"You're serious." I laugh dryly.

"As a heart attack."

"I don't know if this is cute or just fucking crazy." I sigh. He frowns.

"Zora if you're pregnant we have to keep it."

"Open your eyes Carter!" I yell.

"My eyes are open and you wanna know what I see? Pure happiness. A beautiful future for us. You know I have no real family," he says referring to the fact that his sisters no longer lives with them and his parents are NEVER home. "So if you're pregnant would you really take that from me?"

"Carter..." I groan.

"Hell I would want you to have my baby tomorrow if it were possible." He kisses me. "I'll be able to take care of the three of us. Just trust me."
