I hate college. I wish I was 5.

I had a twenty page paper due and not only that I have a few exams to study for too.

Carter POV

I was happy she let me hold her last night. The thing is, she was there, but it was like she wasn't there. I have never cried so hard in my life. But I couldn't help it because I know that losing her would be losing everything. I'm not prepared for that. It would literally kill me! 

I place the flowers, the card, and the diamond necklace on the bed as she slept. Unfortunately I had to work today so I couldn't be with her until later, God willing because I still feel like she's gonna leave me eventually. Though I deserve that, I wouldn't be able to function without her. I place a kiss on her forehead, and I was on my way.

"Good morning Mr. Neilsen." Mr. Bentley says on my way into the building. 

"Good morning." I nod. As I walk into my office I see that it is trashed. My papers all over the floor, my pictures of my family shattered on the ground and all. "What the hell?" I sit my briefcase on the desk which was the only thing pretty much not ruined. I clench my fist and run a hand through my hair. I pick up the phone and dial my dads number.

"Yes Carter?" 

"Can you please come here?"

"Be there momentarily." he hangs up. I pace the floor to keep myself calm. 

"Someone made a mess." I look up to see Ashley leaning in the doorway. 

"You did this didn't you." I walk up to her. She crosses her arms. 

"Now why would I do this?" she laughs. I clench my fist. "Aw, are you angry Carter? Better question, did you really think your father would fire me? I am the best thing that's happened to this place if you ask me. Plus that other branch would look a hell of a lot better with my name on the door. And don't think you'll get away with cancelling our little vacation either." she smirks. "I should've known you'd try to go running back to her." she shakes her head. "But do you really think a woman wants to stick around with an abusive cheater?"

"You bi-"

"What did you need Carter?" My dad says coming up to us, my Mom was right behind him. 

"Why is she here?" My mom said.

"Ashley would you give us a minute please?"

"Oh yes sir." she smiles, and walks away. I step aside, revealing my mess of an office. 

"What happened in here?" he says.

"That's what I want to know." I take a deep breath.

"You two have got to be kidding me? This has that nasty little cunts name written all over it! I want her fired George. Immediately." my mom crosses her arms.
