Zora POV

Tomorrow morning I'm supposed to be leaving with my aunt but right now it's 11:52 PM and I'm waiting for Carter. I never even mentioned the idea of living with him to my parents. Why would I? My phone vibrated.

"Hello?"

"I'm here."

"Okay, I'll be out in a second." I hang up. I place my letter to them on the kitchen island, grab my bag and flew out the back door. I walk around front and Carter was leaning against his truck waiting for me. He grabs my bag and opens the door for me.

The drive was silent and not a comfortable silence. There was tension in the air.

"You OK?" I asked. He just nods.

"You?"

"Yes. Just a little nervous."

"Don't be."

When we got there, he took my bag to the guest room. I expect him to propose the idea of sleeping in the same room. But he didn't. He just walked right by me and back down the hall.

"Good night." He calls to mean before shutting the door of the master bedroom.

What's his deal?

I couldn't sleep. I slowly walked down the hall and into Carter's room. He was asleep still. He was so good looking and so damn muscular. I ease into bed next to him and he slowly sits up.

"What's wrong?"

"Nothing, I couldn't sleep."

"Do you want me to hold you?" He says after a minute of silence.

"Please." I turn my back to him he pulls my body deeper into his. Instant comfort. "Sorry in advance for the dead arm you will have in the morning." He chuckled sleepily, awakening my hormones and reminding me how sexually frustrated I am.

Holding the three of you is worth it."

"What was bothering you earlier?"

"I just have a lot on my mind."

"Like what?"

"This parenting thing. I was reading this pamphlet and I'm not even sure I can handle one baby and now you're having twins, there's just so much more to it than I thought."

"I could have told you that babe. But what now? I'm due in a little less than two months."

"I know." He sighs. "I just don't want to struggle with this and end up giving up or something like that you know?"

"How many of those pamphlets did you read?"

"Too many."

"We are going to be able to handle this."

"I sure hope so." He kisses my head. Before long I felt myself finally drift off.

When I woke up it was around 1 o'clock but I feel so much better. I check my phone it didn't surprise me that my parents try to contact me 1000 times. But I doubt I will be responding anytime soon. I click on my iMessage from Carter.
