But mind you I didn't even get 20 comments on the last thing I posted. Guess I've lost some readers but that's alright I guess. (eye roll)

Anywhore... I did a three year time-hop because I feel like that's how long it has been since I updated. If y'all thought things were gonna be a walk in the park for Zora and Carter, you don't know my writing well enough lol.

Zora POV

I reach out beside me, to any empty bed again tonight. I slowly open my eyes, glancing at the alarm clock that sat on Carter's night stand.

1:16 am.

I check my phone, only to find a text that said "Don't wait up." from a few hours ago.

I don't even remember falling asleep to be honest. I roll my eyes, as I made my way, out of bed and into the hall way.

Things have been rough for us honestly. At least that's how I felt about it. For the past two months Carter has been so distant. I feel so alone in this relationship. I thought things would be so much better for us. We got a new home, he started working for his dad full-time, and the twins kept us pretty entertained. Being four years old, they were pretty active, and definitely kept me on my toes.

I walk into the kitchen, to find cereal and milk all over the island, and Noah sitting at the table eating them. He kept his attention on his little iPad mini.

"What are you doing up?" I laugh a bit.

"I'm waiting for Dad." he looks at me with lazy eyes. "I promised him I would so we can play with my new legos. I'm tired. But I promised." he frowned. I take a deep breath.

"Dad has a lot to do-" just when I said that, the front door opened.

"He's here!" Noah jumped from the chair, and darted down the hall. I sigh, and begin cleaning the mess that he'd made. The twins honestly saw Carter as the best man in the world, when he was here anyways. And they should. He's their father, and he would do absolutely anything they'd ask him to do. It's just him and I where the problem is.

After I finished cleaning up the house it was a little after two and Carter was in the shower. I check on the twins, who were both asleep now, before going and getting back in bed. I sat waiting for him. He came out of the bathroom finally, in just his black Calvin's.

"Hey." I say. "How was work?"

"Tiring." he sighs, climbing into bed. "Dad has been on me a lot lately. It's stressful. I went out for a drink with a couple of co-workers. I waited for the buzz to wear off, that's what took so long to get here." he shrugs.

"Oh," I nod. "I understand." There was a long pause. "I have lunch with our mothers tomorrow."

"Oh goodness." He sighs. "Watch what you mention to them please. I don't want Mom calling me over stupid shit." he closes his eyes. I stare at him.

"What do you mean?" I was a little shocked at his comment.

"I mean, I know how me coming home late from time to time bothers you, but I don't wanna hear about how it bothers you from my mom."

"Question. If you know it bothers me, why do you constantly do it?"

"I have shit to do. Sorry that I'm trying to make money." he laughs a little. "We can be broke if you'd like."
