Guys, sorry for the late update. I have like 0 time to get on this computer and update now. Between school and softball I just have too much to do. On top of that, I don't get home til about 7 or 8 every night. Unless I have a game, then it's around 11. When I do get home, I just wanna eat and sleep lol. But I'll dedicate my Sundays to updating, since I'm always writing in class.

By the way, starting 2 new stories as well. So be on the look out.

Read the AN at the end too.

Anywhore....

Zora POV

"Hello?" I rub my eyes, glancing at my alarm clock. 1 in the morning. "Carter-"

"Zora, listen to me okay? Lock yourself and the twins in one room." He says. My heart began to race. I slowly make my way out of bed, standing on my feet. I stand there for a minute, afraid that if I made one step without my walker, I'd fall.

"I-I- I'm afraid to move Carter."

"Hurry please." he says. I take small step, making sure to keep my balance. Then another, and another until I made it to the door, using my free hand to hold myself up against the wall. I close my eyes, and do a small prayer that my feet and legs wouldn't fail me. I take a bigger step without thinking, I did it again, until I was actually walking! I felt a burst of excitement for a second. "Zora are you there?"

"Uh-yeah!" I continue to gather the twins. Before long, we were locked in my closet, in a corner. "Carter what's going on?"

"Just sit still, I'll be there and I'll explain later okay?" He hung up. I take a deep breath holding the twins in either arm as they slept, with my legs crossed on the floor. The door bell rung and I froze. I mean what if it's Carter? Then again, he has a key. I squeeze my eyes shut, not sure what to even do at this point. Seconds later, my phone rung.

It was my Dad.

"Hello?" my voice wavered.

"Hey sweetheart, I'm outside. Can you come open the door please?"

"I'm not at home Dad." I gulp. "It's one in the morning, what do you need?"

"I just wanted to talk face to face. Something told me you were in trouble. Where are you at?"

"I'm okay Dad, I promise."

"Sweetie just-" he pauses. "Nevermind, your little boyfriend just pulled up." he hangs up.

"Shit!" I grab the twins, and head down the hall, planning to make a run for it until I heard the front door open. I quickly hide in Noah's closet, more than blessed the twins weren't light sleepers like they used to be.

"Where's my daughter." I hear my Dad's voice through the house.

"She's not here. She's gone."

"Where?" he yells.

"I don't know! I haven't even talked to her!"

"Why are you lying to me boy? That's just a bad idea ya know?"

"We got into a big fight and we haven't spoken since then. That was yesterday around noon." Their footsteps seemed to get closer. "Look she's not here. Just please leave, you're trespassing. If she calls me, I'll tell her to give you a visit or something." Carter says.
