Chapter 6: The Demon's Wrath

The two hashira continued on their journey soon they arrive at the village they had been walking to for a couple days

The village lay nestled in the crook of the mountains, its thatched roofs sagging under the weight of despair. The once-vibrant streets now resembled a graveyard, cobblestones worn smooth by the shuffle of broken souls. Sanemi Shinazugawa and Giyu Tomioka stepped into this twilight realm, their footsteps muffled by the collective grief.

Sanemi's Thoughts "This demon has turned their lives into a waking nightmare."

The air reeked of decay—a foul cocktail of rotting wood, dried blood, and crushed dreams. Sanemi clenched his fists, the memory of his sister's death fueling his rage. Giyu, ever stoic, scanned the faces of the villagers. His eyes held a quiet determination—the same resolve that had carried him through countless battles.

The two hashira stopped in their tracks when they heard a desperate Cry.

The scream cut through the oppressive silence. Sanemi's heart clenched. He and Giyu exchanged a glance, their bond forged in shared purpose. They sprinted toward the sound, rounding a corner to find her—a little girl, her tear-streaked face etched with terror. Blood dripped from her torn ear, staining her tattered dress.

Sanemi's Instincts kicked in and as he thought "i won't let someone lose their life not this time."

He lunged, snatching her away from the demon's claws. His wind breathing style surged, propelling them to safety. The girl clung to him, her small frame trembling. Sanemi's eyes met Giyu's, both knowing what came next.

The demon emerged from the shadows, her presence both ethereal and grotesque. Her skin, porcelain pale, contrasted sharply with her ink-black hair. Long tendrils framed her face, concealing eyes that burned like dying embers. She wore a tattered kimono, once elegant, now stained with the blood of her victims.

Giyu looked back at the demon wondering "How can something be so twisted?"

 *The First Strike*

The demon's clawed hand sliced the air. Sanemi dodged, it's movements a blur. The girl clung tighter, her breath hitching. The demon's laughter echoed—a haunting melody. But Sanemi's fury drowned it out. He countered, wind slicing through the space between them.

Sanemi thought "For every life she's taken, I'll make her suffer."

Giyu materialized beside Sanemi, blade drawn. Water swirled around him, a silent promise of justice. The demon's gaze shifted from the girl to the man who intervened . Her smirk widened, revealing pointed teeth.

In a flash tomioka used his water breathing style and in a instant he was in the air ready to slash the devilish monster
