**Chapter 13: Confrontation at the Festival**
Sanemi nodded, his shoulders slumping. He knew that he had to make things right with Giyu, but the thought of confronting his feelings was daunting. He took another deep breath, steeling himself for what he needed to do.
As the meeting came to an end, the Hashira began to disperse, each lost in their own thoughts. Sanemi stood there for a moment, his mind racing. He knew that he had to find Giyu and apologize, but the thought of facing him filled him with dread.
He decided he would face Tomioka at the festival.

The night of the festival arrived, and the air was filled with excitement and anticipation. Giyu lay in bed, staring at the ceiling, his mind a whirlwind of emotions. He had decided not to go to the festival, still hurt by Sanemi's harsh words.
A knock on the door interrupted his thoughts. "Giyu-san, it's time to go to the festival!" Tanjiro's cheerful voice called out from the other side.
Giyu sighed and got up to open the door. Tanjiro and Nezuko stood there, both dressed in beautiful kimonos, their faces beaming with excitement. "Why aren't you ready? We have to go!" Tanjiro exclaimed, his eyes wide with concern.
"I'm not going," Giyu replied, his voice flat. "I don't feel like it."
Tanjiro frowned, his determination unwavering. "That's not an option, Giyu-san. You need to come with us. It'll be fun, and you deserve to enjoy yourself."
Nezuko nodded in agreement, her eyes pleading with Giyu to join them. Despite his reluctance, Giyu couldn't resist their earnest expressions. With a resigned sigh, he allowed them to help him get ready. Tanjiro found a suitable outfit for him, and Nezuko skillfully did his hair, her gentle hands working with practiced ease.
Once they were ready, they set off for the festival. The streets were alive with color and sound, the air filled with the scent of delicious food and the laughter of people enjoying the festivities. Giyu's initial reluctance began to fade as he immersed himself in the vibrant atmosphere.
As they wandered through the festival, Giyu found himself smiling and laughing, the weight of his worries lifting with each passing moment. He played games with Tanjiro and Nezuko, their infectious enthusiasm bringing out a side of him that he rarely showed.
But then, amidst the crowd, Giyu's gaze met Sanemi's. The memory of their last encounter came rushing back, and the hurt resurfaced. Without a word, Giyu turned and walked away, disappearing into the throng of people.
Sanemi's heart sank as he watched Giyu walk away. He knew he had to make things right. He quickly followed, weaving through the crowd until he caught up with Giyu in a quieter part of the festival, away from the bustling activity.
"Giyu, wait!" Sanemi called out, grabbing Giyu's wrist to stop him.
