Her Merman - Her Captive.

We went home yesterday morning after seeing and visiting my sister, James, and Liliana and Leo. Apart from the fact we could hear waves crashing all night which 'ruined' Scarlet's sleep it was alright, but these next two weeks would be stressful.

Me and Scarlet had to go to the wedding place thrice these past two weeks, the wedding would be taking place in one weeks aswell, but it was all prepared, the vows, wedding dress, wedding location, wedding decor, the rings, the make up and hair, the flowers, and the invites which were sent earlier today.

The wedding would happen in literally one week.

One week.

Why is it so long? Why couldn't it not be tomorrow? I have no fucking clue.

But the wedding would take place in a week, she'd finally have my last name and I can tell everyone that she's my wife instead of saying we are engaged and all.

Even with our fake backstory, we should probably add the dating bit before the instant marriage proposal, it would have been more believable but instead we just made it a love at first sight, became friends, proposed, marriage.

The dating part in the fake story would have been much better.

Especially when no one should know this was a contract marriage, how I was her captive, and anything after that.

So, if everything goes according to plan, before, during, and after the wedding, then we are set. Nobody should know anything at all on how we met and how our marriage happened, it can stay between us, but if someone finds out then we make another fake story, or bribe them to stay quiet about it.

But chances are so low for that to happen.

The outfits were set, and when we saw the place where our wedding would take place, it was jaw dropping, it was gorgeous.

It was on the beach on a cliff under a shady area, all the mermans and mermaids would be singing down in the water, Scarlet's family would be in shade on where the cliff benches were, and mine could sit with Scarlet's family or stay in the water with the other mermans and mermaids, there were flowers everywhere, red, black, and blue flowers. The cliff was looking beautiful as we saw the arch we would stand under when the pastor would say the lines before and after our vows.

It was exciting.

And we, apart from the designers my dad brought in, were the only ones who knew how it looked like.

And from the way it looks, it is beautiful.

There was even an additional place for snacks.

And not to mention, when we saw how our wedding cake would look like, Scarlet was shocked.

It was so beautiful, the icing they used to make mine and Scarlet's tiny engagement rings on the front of every layer of the three cakes stacked above each other was beautiful, especially with those classic 'husband and wife' decor they add on the third layer, the icing around it was a beautiful wavy pattern, and I could not be any happier.

This wedding would be beautiful.

But even with this whole two weeks of organizing the wedding, we knew it would be worth it.

And for the last week for when the wedding took place, me and Scarlet just talked about what food would be there, entertainment, some activities, and also how good the area was since no humans really go to that area, but the best thing about it was how the view was beautiful as it over-looked the waves and the other rocky bits.

We had to anyways do a ritual during the wedding for her to be some-what mermaid, and for me to be some-what vampire, from our traditions it was what we had to do.

And so far we should probably stick with that.

She explained to me what ritual mine was, I explained her what hers was.

And for the past week, we had to do the rituals before the wedding.

Scarlet was on the beach ground, as some mermans and mermaids made a circle around her and filled it with water before placing stones everywhere, they then chanted a few words before placing a few of my scales which I had to take off around three or four for this, but anyways they placed it on some parts of her, one on her stomach, one on both her thighs, one on her hand, and another on her calf.

They then started chanting something as mermans started to shout in the distance, the waves crashed higher and higher, they did this for a few seconds before the scales absorbed into Scarlet.

They then told her to open her eyes before they explained how she is now some-what mermaid, but not really. Only the places that the scales were kept in will show the scale-like affect whenever she touched water.

Scarlet nods as she thanks them before motioning me to follow her for my ritual.

She brought me into a shack that contained her family members as the mermans and mermaids started to swim back in the waves. Her family pointed at the empty chair as I went to sit infront of it, they then took my hand and looked at Scarlet.

Scarlet went near and took out a bottle, it contained some red liquid as she poured it in my palm, it was thick and red, and smelled bad.

"What is that?"

I asked as I looked into my palm.

"Stop moving, its a part of the ritual. You have to have my blood in your palm as they mix other things of mine."

Scarlet says as I freeze.

Did she just say blood?

Mine was not that bad, but blood? I can understand their vampires but won't it hurt her?

I watch as her aunt starts to put some leaves and dead roses on my palm with blood while muttering some words and looking into a book.

She then put some canine tooth in my hand, like, was this someone's tooth? 

In a few more seconds she flipped my palm down, making them all land on the stamp below before she motioned me to hold the stamp and stamp it down on the paper, which was a contract, I did whatever she did as in a few seconds she said.

"I need to get this approved, I will bring it at the wedding."

Her aunt said as I thanked her, she then made me and Scarlet leave the shack.

The rituals, wedding vows, wedding clothing, wedding cake, wedding location, flowers, food, benches, and everything were checked.

We just had to wait for the wedding which took place tomorrow.
