My eyes widened at my mothers words, she actually accepted it?

"Wait, really?"

I say as my eyes glisten and shimmer under the dimly-lit house.

"I  guess."

Hold up, that easy?

"Wait, you're actually accepting this?!"

My sister said as she looked at my mother.

"Yes, yes I am."

My sisters jaw dropped, as she protested.

"But she's 22?"

My mother let out a chuckle and added.

"So?"

My sister looked furious, her eyes were like a flaming fire while she looked like she was on the verge of snapping at our mother.

"She hasn't even gone to college!"

My dad nodded in agreement.

"I'm a college dropout, I don't think its necessary for me to go to college with my career."

My sister was quiet, but her cheerful attitude was gone the moment my mom accepted it in under an hour and ended up being happy for me. My sister was furious at my marriage, she didn't want me to get married? She didn't want my mom to accept this?

The questions ran threw my head until my sister looked at my mom, her eyes were like a blazing fire that was unable to calm down as she spoke.

"She's too young!"

I immediately glanced at my sister and protested her answer.

"Too young? I'm fucking twenty two! I can do whatever I want."

My sister calmed down for a few seconds, she then turned her head to look at me.

"Twenty two? Thats still young!"

She continued to shout and protest, I could tell my sister was angry, I know I'm young but I wanted the marriage, even if it was a contract. They didn't need to know that.

My mother cut her off.

"I was twenty one when I got married to your father, I think she'd be able to get married at twenty two, wait how old is this guy your marrying?"

I stayed quiet and muttered a random answer.

"Twenty six."

I see my mom smile.

"Very well then, come on you guys. We are going to find her a wedding dress."

She then grabs my wrists and runs down the halls with a smile as she brings me to the elevator, my sister and dad follow me as my sister's jaw is dropped and my dad looks so confused.

I honestly feel bad for my dad from his confusion, he genuinely seems happy but confused from the fight, while my sister is just mad as her jaw is clenched.

As we all entered the elevator, the elevator went down.

I watched it go down before it hit the basement and opened, revealing a area filled with clothing.

Well, wedding clothing.

"These dresses have been from our ancestors, from generation to generation."

My father says as he went to one part of the closet, while my mom went to the other and motioned me and my sister to come over.

"Come over here Scarlet."

My mother said as my sister made my way to my dad, I stepped out of the elevator and walked over.

She then presented me many dresses, some of which contain aqua, teal, and white along with black, and red.

Personally, the colour combo was weird for a wedding dress and I expected it to be like those in the movies that are just black, but movies lied to me.

The dresses were beautiful tho.

After my mother presented me several dresses she made me try them on while my dad made my sister wear dresses aswell for my wedding that is in two months.

Mine was a off-shoulder wedding dress, it was black on the top and slowly faded into a blue colour, it had scales on the bottom and a net floor-length skirt on the back of the gown, the wedding veil along with it was beautiful, I already knew I would have my hair curled for the wedding day, I turned around to remove the dress as my mother kept saying how pretty the dress looked on me and then turned to glance at my sister before walking and helping her choose her fit.

This would be a long day.
