Towards Alabasta

"No, I'm serious. I don't know what you're talking about," Luffy insisted, his hands waving anxiously as sweat poured down his face.

"What's with your shifty eyes then? Look me straight in the eyes. Now let me ask you one thing," Sanji demanded, stepping in front of him with a piercing gaze.

"I properly divided our food supplies so they'd last long enough for eight people to reach Alabasta. If you're not responsible, then why is the food disappearing every night?" Sanji exhaled a cloud of smoke, his voice dripping with suspicion.

"Don't even try to make any excuses. You're a terrible liar... Hey, is that some leftovers I see stuck to your mouth?"

"Crap! It's still there!?" Luffy's hands flew to his mouth, his eyes wide with panic.

"SO IT WAS YOU!" Sanji roared, slamming his foot into Luffy's face and sending him crashing into the wall with a loud thud.

"Nami, did you see? Just look at what this buffoon did! Won't you buy me a refrigerator with a lock on it?" Sanji turned to Nami, his voice pleading.

"Hmm, I'll think about it. After all, it is a matter of life and death..." Nami mused, her eyes drifting to Y/N, Usopp, Chopper, and Carue, who were suspiciously avoiding the conversation and focusing on fishing.

"Guess we should really catch something," Y/N spoke up, swallowing the last bit of food with a guilty expression.

"For Sanji's sake, at least..." Usopp agreed, gulping down his food.

"Hero? Crocodile is Alabasta's hero?" Nami questioned, dusting off her hands after dealing with the three boys and the duck.

"To be one of the Seven Warlords of the Sea means you're a pirate employed by the world government itself. So whether it's a Warlord who gets rid of raiding pirates, or the marines who do it for justice, the end result is the same. The people are thankful to whoever keeps them safe," Vivi explained patiently.

"Well, I guess that's to be expected... But to think the so-called hero of Alabasta would be secretly planning on taking over the country... I don't think anybody would have imagined that even in their dreams," Sanji said, approaching them with a frown, while Zoro snored on the floor.

"Either way, all I have to do is kick that guy's ass, right!?" Luffy punched the air, his face determined.

"Yes... If we can put a stop to the civil unrest first and chase away Baroque Works, then Alabasta will be saved..." Vivi's smile was hopeful but tinged with worry.

"Chase them away? That'll be easy," Y/N said confidently, sitting up straighter.

"Exactly how is this Baroque Works organization set up again? And what's with the 'Mr' and 'Miss' business?" Usopp asked, curiosity piqued as he sat up next to Y/N.

Vivi launched into an explanation of the hierarchy and power specifics within the agents.

"Oh, I get it! So all I gotta do is kick Crocodile's ass, right!?" Luffy punched the air again, his excitement undiminished.

"You didn't understand a thing, did you?" Sanji sighed, shaking his head.

"So assuming that taking over Alabasta is Baroque Works' final objective... Then those ones you call 'Officer Agents' should all be gathering in one place," Nami pointed out, her brow furrowed in thought.
