Y/N stood on the roof of the castle, the wind gently ruffling his clothes as he peered down at the chaos below. The clash of swords and the distant cries of battle filled the air.
His thoughts raced with worry for his crewmates, though his face remained stoic. The battlefield stretched out before him, a mess of blood and dust.
Suddenly, the sound of hurried footsteps echoed up from within the gate below. Y/N's eyes narrowed as he turned his attention toward the noise.
“Hm?” he muttered under his breath.
"The Princess is in danger!" came a frantic shout from one of the castle guards as a group of soldiers raced toward the gates in panic.
“What? Hands!? There are hands—coming out of the gate!” another guard screamed, his voice trembling with fear.
A loud, sickening thud followed as the entire group of guards was suddenly flung backward from the gate, their bodies slamming into the ground in a heap.
"Ah!" Y/N’s eyes widened as he bolted toward the gate. His hand clenched tightly as he leapt down, barreling through the guards.
“Out of my way!” Y/N growled as he summoned his power, a swirling gust of wind enveloping his fist. With a deafening crash, he slammed it into the gate, splintering the wood and forcing it open. Dust and debris swirled around him as he stepped inside.
There, standing amidst the fallen bodies of the guards, were two figures Y/N instantly recognized. Crocodile and Ms. All Sunday, their imposing forms blocking the way to Vivi, who stood frozen with fear.
"You—!" Y/N's voice boomed as his gaze locked onto the two enemies.
"Y/N!" Vivi’s voice was desperate as she called out to him.
His eyes scanned the room rapidly. “Where the hell is Luffy!?” he demanded, still hoping his captain would burst in at any moment. But Luffy was nowhere to be found.
“Hm? Oh... I killed him.” Crocodile’s voice dripped with smug satisfaction, his grin widening as he reveled in Y/N’s shock.
Y/N’s body went rigid, his mind reeling from the words. "What did you say...?" His voice trembled with disbelief, his knuckles white from clenching his fists.
Crocodile continued, casually brushing off the severity of what he had just said. “That small fry was irritating, but I got rid of him.” His eyes drifted lazily toward Chaka, who lay bleeding and broken at the edge of the rooftop.
“Now…” Crocodile’s voice trailed off as he began to move toward Chaka, the weight of death heavy in his approach.
"CHAAAKAAA!" Vivi screamed, her voice hoarse with terror.
But before Crocodile could strike, a sudden, violent gust of wind blasted him backward, nearly slamming him into the stone wall. Crocodile grimaced, catching himself at the last second, his eyes snapping toward the source of the attack. Standing before him, with his palm outstretched, was Y/N, a determined fury etched into his face.
"Luffy, dying at the hands of you?" Y/N's voice was cold, darkened with a simmering rage. "You really expect me to believe that?"
His fists clenched tightly, wind spiraling around him with growing intensity. “My captain isn’t a weakling...!” he shouted, the declaration echoing.
"Y/N!" Vivi called out again, but another voice cut through the tension.
"Kouza!" Vivi’s eyes widened as she spotted the rebel leader approaching.
"Ahh! Did you come by the secret path you used to use as a child!?" King Cobra, barely holding onto consciousness, weakly spoke from across the room.
Kouza’s voice was heavy with disbelief as he surveyed the scene before him. “Am I... seeing things...? I came here with the intention of persuading the royalist forces, but… Chaka!” His eyes landed on the gravely injured warrior. “The first thing I see is the king… about to be murdered by this country’s so-called hero!”
